Please see post #83.
Cast lead 9mm bullets, which I use in 95% of my pistol reloading and shooting are sized .356. Jacketed bullets are generally .355.
Find out what your rifle likes, roll your own, use a good rest, like a Ransom and it’s not that difficult.

I was probably casting bullets and working up loads before you were born but I can’t know for sure. I no longer do either tho I did save a few die sets and a single hand press just in case. The reason I said “typically .355” is because there are always exceptions.

The 9mm is probably one of the worst calibers to use cast bullets in but as you know, it can be done.

My guess would be less than 1% of 9mm fired, use cast bullets. Maybe even less than that.

I have tried working up loads for the Mini 14, also tried different brands etc. Nothing would make them shoot better than about 5 inches at 100 yards.

I love Ruger firearms but Ruger seems to have had a bit of a problem with long gun accuracy ever since the original number 1 single shot came out. I will say the number 1, unlike the Mini-14 will sometimes shoot well.
