Everything you said is true about always having to settle. And we should let it be known to the establishment that we don’t like the resulting nominee. But this isn’t the election to cut off our noses to make that point. We are in unchartered, unprecedented territory. We have never had a communist in our White House seeking to remake America. It’s a dangerous game and the results could be irreparable.
It’s never been the right time. We’re always told too much is at stake. Tomorrow will be no different. It won’t be the right time because Iran has nukes, or a new terrorist attack, or a pandemic, or whatever the current crisis is.
Every time conservatives go along to get along, we train the liberal Republicans to not take us seriously because conservatives don’t stand on their principles.
