This doesn’t seal it.
‘Zimmerman got out of his SUV to follow Trayvon on foot.’
That negates any self defense argument in my book.
I once followed a group of black kids who had vandalized a building while talking with dispatch. I was in my car and was getting yelled at (and yelling back at the kids) while on the phone.
My exact words were “Shut up, I’m trying to talk to the police.”
One of them broke my windshield and some reinforcements from the hood came by.
When the cops arrived, it was amazing how fast everyone hit the ground when they noticed laser pointed at their chests.
The prosecutor asked if I suffered any psychological harm. I said that I don’t suffer psychologically by doing the right thing.
I've seen your posts on this subject and I feel you are mistaken in your beliefs, but you are welcome to them.

Do nothing. Say nothing. Accept the consequences of letting criminals (etc) have free access to your community and possibly to your family or friends and neighbors.
A simple challenge of a suspicious character could possibly prevent an incident & “if” the person is innocent he would possibly appreciate the fact that there are concerned people who are watching and protecting the neighborhood and its residents.
Following someone is not illegal and does not cause you to lose your self-defense rights if the person subsequently turns around and attacks you from behind.
Not so. Zimmerman claims he lost sight of Martin and was returning to his SUV when he was attacked by Martin. If Martin did indeed punch Zimmerman in the nose, then pummeled him on the ground as witnesses claim, self-defense is indeed an argument, since it would appear that Martin escalated the incident.
You must be reading this idiots book.

With TMartin striking the first blow, regardless of any words spoken or actions taken by GZimmerman, it became self defense on GZimmerman’s part.
A sucker punch by TMartin makes a response by GZimmerman self-defense, in the eyes of the law.
Please hang up and try again.
How do you figure it negates self defense? The kid attacked him, since when is it ok to attack someone who was following you? Not only that Zimmerman had stopped following and was leaving the area. All the kid had to do was to go home and he would have been fine. However, he had to play outraged minority and attack Zimmerman. What do you suggest Zimmerman should have done after being knocked down and having his head slammed into the sidewalk plus having a fist slamming into his face(all corroborated by witnesses, BTW), lie there until he died so he could prove he was being attacked? The kid brought this on himself by following the black males "code" of not being "dissed". It is plain that he got angry and wanted to teach the cracker a lesson.
If you are in fear for your life, you don't follow someone and attack them.
