Based on my dealings with people, including quite a few sketchies, if you’re peaceful, they will be peaceful. While nothing is guaranteed, I have difficulty with the idea that Zimmerman was perfectly peaceful in his approach and Martin just simply spazzed out and started swinging.

Oh, wow. You must have never been to DC then. I’ve actually been attacked while on duty and in full police uniform. An uprovoked attack is quite common. Do you also believe robbers only attempt to rob you after you’ve insulted them? Or do you concede that someone could just come up to you and rob you?
