1556 GMT: More details emerging about the gunman from French prosecutor Francois Molins. He tells reporters that the US army sent the gunman back to France after he was arrested in Afghanistan. Afghan police detained Merah and then handed him over to the US army "who put him on the first plane headed to France," Mollins says.
I have a French brother-in-law. Candidly, the French admit the muslim population is a huge problem.
It should also be noted that more than a few Frenchmen own hunting rifles.

He had been sentenced to three years in prison after being arrested carrying bomb-making equipment. He was among several hundred prisoners who escaped in a Taliban assault on the jail.

I wonder how you say “Vichy” in arabic. The French will roll over, spread their legs, and hand over their Jews just like they did in the 40’s. And those hunting rifles will stay right where they are.
So the jihadists are only after the Jews? Were you especially busy on 9/11/01 and the years since? I’m pretty sure a few of the three thousand + killed that day weren’t Jewish. How about the Christian churches being burned all over the world? My brother, a devout Catholic, lives in the Philippines and the jihadists there are quite content to go after Christians, Buddhists and Hindus, a group they call, “infidels”. Maybe you should check your facts and get back to me.
Another thing, the Vichy government went out of existence about 70 years ago. I only know and talk to about 8 or 9 French citizens regularly, admittedly a small sample but how many French citizens do you know personally and talk to regularly? Can you discuss their views based on first hand knowledge or are you relying on the filter of government and media? My contacts suggest there is a breaking point fast approaching. You might denigrate the French military or the French willingness to fight but do find time to look up Bonapart, Lafayette and Rochambeau; it isn’t a genetic defect.
Bonaparte wasn’t French, he was Corsican. And I use the last hundred years of French history as my guide. The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior. And prior French behavior towards Jews has been shockingly bad all the way back to the days of the Plague.
I sincerely hope the Frrench grow some balls. I really do. But if history is any guide, and it usually is, they won’t.
