I’ve been to Puerto Rico more than once. I don’t think English is a problem. I got around pretty fine and almost everyone speaks English. What’s the big deal here?

American borders, language, culture:

Conservatives want to conserve them,
leftists want them destroyed.

I don't see it either. English is pretty much the official language of anyone interested in business or bettering their lives, the world over. So I guess the big deal is just lefty media trying to trip up Santo. Good for him holding his ground.

The attitude is the big deal ... quite simply they will never vote for statehood because it would interfere with the GIMME GIMME GIMME mentality ...
