(KYTX) Longview - A shootout between an alert neighbor and an alleged burglar. It happened last night in the 100 Block of Delmar street in Longview. Police say neighbors heard a commotion at the home and went in and found the back door kicked.
The neighbor told police two men were inside the home and one had a handgun. The neighbor and the burglar exchange fire, and the burglar was hit once in the ankle. When officers arrived they found the burglar who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The second burglar left the scene before police arrived.
We'll have more on this story coming up tonight on CBS 19 news at 10.
