The worst thing with this campaign spending, when they get to where they are giving their collective BS Session, they only talk to friendlys.

Isn’t the true meaning of campaigning to expose yourself to those that would normally be inclined to NOT vote for you?

So, in essence, when they take OUR money to campaign with it is basically going to ‘preaching to the choir’.

And that is not only pertaining to BO, I realize when they screen at an event to keep the harassers out it is for expediency but aren’t the dissidents the ones you are trying to win over?

So, bottom line, it is basically a waste of time and MONEY.

Take away the matching funds and make them campaign on what they get from people with a like mind = that they are trying to represent.

There is no reason in the (logical) world that people in California should be ‘donating’ to elect someone to Congress from NY.

In some respects, it is like us picking a country out of the book and donating to one of the candidates for local office.

Until December 2011 Air Expeditionary Wings/Squadrons were ONLY used to support “Overseas Contingency Operations - aka the War on terror.”, This administrative procedure ensured correct accounting of flying hours, manhours and other levels of support and provided a clear line of command and control.

Prior to December 2011 airlift support for Presidential campaigns was taken out of local training accounts.

IMHO, the two newly formed squadrons, while officially under the 89th Wing (VIP support), will report to and be controlled by the Presidential Reelection Committee.

But maybe, in his function as Commander-in-Chief, Obama will directly command all of the missions. Thus adding to his impressive military resume.
