He's done it again. For a third time, President Obama is snubbing the annual gathering of prominent Washington journalists known as the Gridiron Dinner next month. Instead, he is attending the 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit.
"I'm disappointed," said Gridiron President George Condon of National Journal. And, he kidded, "I'm not sure what it says of his priorities when the president puts the nuclear security of the world ahead of our dinner."
Subbing for Obama at the March 24 dinner will be Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, ironically the hands-on manager of the nation's nuclear arsenal that will be discussed at the South Korean summit.
Obama has only attended one dinner in his four chances since becoming president, making his attendance the worst of any president in history.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Well, that seems a little odd!
I guess he doesn’t want our Defense Secretary Leon Panettato attend this important meeting. Probably because Leon disagrees with his policy on defense?
Still shaking my head - what a weird replacement? Anyone else find this odd? I had to go back and make sure this wasn’t humor - nope.....??????
If it ever occurs to the elite American media that Obama really does hold them in contempt, like he does with many other American groups, there might be a sudden a dramatic reversal in how they treat him.
But, they may not be smart enough to figure that out.
3 snubs in a row to one of the last white-tie functions in the U.S. is a significant statement.
Me thinks he cant handle being made fun of.... I dont know why he wouldnt go they would wash his feet

How often does obama miss a chance to party on somebody else’s dime ?
How often does he choose work over entertainment ?
Even a blind rat finds the nut sometimes, in this case while not even looking for it. I actually agree with him skipping this dinner. It is a cozy little affair of the Washington elite where the most important issues in our country are treated as a complete joke by those on both sides of the aisle. I think the whole thing is a disagrace, epitomized by George Bush acting like a complete twit looking under the table for the missing Iraqi WMDs. Don’t get me wrong, I have a sense of humor and I like GWB, but there was not much to joke about with regard to the decision to start that trillion dollar, multi-thousand American life war. And then there is the liberals’ brand of humor, which I generally don’t find very funny. I wouldn’t go either.

I’m trying to remember - is the the Correspondents’ Dinner or the Gridiron Dinner where the President is expected to take some good-natured ribbing? Or both.
My guess is Narcissist in Chief has one of the thinnest skins in history.
Gridiron is the one where the President and his people are expected to speak and make fun of themselves.
