If you are so out of control that you would assult people trying to help you, you do you really think you are going to stop to consider that you might be breaking a Federal law and so moderate your behavior?

All people should get the same protection. No one should get special rights from government.

I think there should be special penalties for any one that assaults me, threatens me, looks at me funny or says anything about me. Same go's for my family and friends. We're all special too

Ophelia Ford is a member of the Tennessee Senate. She is the younger sister of former state senator John Ford and former Congressman Harold Ford, Sr., and the aunt of former Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. She represents Senate District 29, located in Shelby County.
On May 22, 2007, a Nashville cab driver accused Ophelia Ford of grabbing his shirt collar and ripping a button off his shirt while driving Ms. Ford to her hotel. He claimed that Ms. Ford was intoxicated.

How much ya wanted bet this cow was combative, abusive, and profane so the nurses had to restrain her. I want to see video of the alleged incident(s). Ford should have no problem with that I’m sure.

Why is the legislature creating another “special” protected class of assault victims?
Do you allow the people you care about to be left alone, while incapacitated, in a hospital?
At the mercy of the staff?
Without witnesses and/or security cameras?

We're also going to try to replace some of our older servers and failing equipment this year so we're going to add a little extra to our FReepathon goals. John is estimating ten to fifteen thousand to do this and I'd like to get it all in place and working before the election cycle is fully heated up, so we'll try to bring in a little more now if we can and the rest next quarter.

My wife is an RN in middle TN. I’m sure the nurses just recognized her and treated her accordingly.

I don't know if this is a good bill or not. My opinion is that there should not be special classes of people. Certain groups should not get special consideration over others, such as is the case with so called "hate" crimes.
However, this woman is full of sh**. I have been in the hospital twice over the last several years and I am here to tell you that the vast majority of nurses are the reason I survived the ordeal. Nurses took care of me, not doctors and all but one were great. The one that wasn't great was so politically correct that it was ridiculous.
