My guess this is being done on the advice of lawyers.
You know some doctor somewhere is getting sued for not vaccinating a child, even though it was the parents that refused the vaccination.
Agreed on the legal ramifications. It’s too much exposure for a doctor in these lawsuit days. “Hey didn’t INSIST we inoculate our child,” the formerly adamant against vaccinations mother said. “Now we need money !”

Probably.
My wife is a doctor and fires patients who won’t follow her advice. They always cause trouble and end up sick and blaming the doctor.
Yes but you could make the same argument on the other side.
Doctors have been sued numerous times for vaccinating kids and having severe/fatal reactions to vaccines. Most notably HPV vaccine. Or infants who get so many vaccines at once that it’s too much for the body to deal with without causing problems.
I am sure that was based on legal advice they had currently been told by lawyers and they still got sued for giving vaccines.
And I have yet to find one single case of parents who have researched the “why” behind not wanting their kids vaccinated, to sue a doctor they told not to vaccinate their kid. The whole point is they don’t want the kid vaccinated. They WANT the doctor not to do anything. If the doctor vaccinates when they don’t want them to, THAT is the point where they would rightfully sue the doctor.

More likely on the advice of their friendly local pharmaceutical salesman.
Drugs and vaccines are where the money is, pure and simple.
The death culture has a part in this too, since they know how drugs and vaccines accelerate aging. ZPG has always loved drugs and vaccines.

I just did a paid mock trial opinion research gig on the most specious go-after-the-deep-pockets on the most tenuous linkage ever civil lawsuit you ever heard of. What you suppose seems likely.
I'll bet you're absolutely correct. It's all defensive medicine at this point.
I have an auto-immune disease which requires I take a biologic medication to "switch off" part of my immune system related to inflammation. I was diagnosed by a specialist with this condition a year ago, and unfortunately for me there's not many doctors who know how to treat this condition effectively.
Last year when I was diagnosed and put on medication to manage my condition, the doctor wanted me to get a flu shot. I refused. I know perfectly well how to avoid the flu and did so last year. I never caught the flu.
This year my doctor insisted I get the flu shot (primarily because of my immuno suppressed system) and told me if I didn't - to find another doctor!
After a lifetime of fighting with doctors over everything, I finally acquiesced and got the shot. This is the ONE doctor in the 15 years I've had this condition that was able to diagnosse and treat me effectively, I figured it was time I just listened to what he told me to do and just did it.
Call me silly, I guess every once in awhile these Doctors actually know what they're talking about -- even if I suspect he's practicing defensive medicine.
