International talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has issued an apology for breaking TV ratings rules and urging fans to watch her Oprah's Next Chapter show instead of the Grammy Awards, according to reports.
Oprah invited followers to turn off music's big night and switch to her network, OWN, on Twitter.
"Everyone who can please turn to OWN, especially if u have a Nielsen box (sic). Commercial Grammy people..you can turn to Own," she tweeted.

If you put something on T.V. worth watching, people will watch. She thought people watch just because she owns it. And because the “people” wanted her to make more money.

Everytime Oprah runs a commercial, the company I work for takes a slice of the advertising revenue.
Advertising is all about the "Art of the Deal". It's amazing how complex it gets. I kindof enjoy the industry.

I was enjoying cocktails with my favorite bartender. The grammys was on the big screen. I swear ophra was seated as a guest. They’ll be stupid enough to invite her back next year.
Yes. Nielsen has a strong rule about DIRECT appeals to those participating with their ratings system.
Only 25,000 people have the ratings boxes. They are suppose to be unknown to all who could influence their viewing habits while they are participating.
Could you imagine if Oprah (or other broadcasters) found out who those current 25,000 people were an offered them a car to watch her network?

The day Oprah first trotted out Michelle, Barak and the kids, “I saw the handwriting on the wall” so to speak. That is the LAST time I have watched Oprah Winfrey! Apparently, I wasn’t the only one from the looks of it. Good Ridance as far as I’m concerned.
