W.H. official: Contraceptive rule stands
CBS News ^ | February 12, 2012

President Obama's top aide addressed the latest controversy over contraception coverage, saying on CBS News' "Face the Nation" Sunday that the latest iteration of the new rule, which was announced Friday, will go forward.

"We're going to go ahead and implement it," White House Chief of Staff Jack Law said.

After being pressed by host Bob Schieffer about the White House's latest change to its contraception coverage policy and the push-back the administration is receiving from the Catholic Church, Lew said the White House is comfortable with its decision.

"We have broad consensus - not universal consensus - that this is an approach that's right," Lew said.

"The solution that the president announced on Friday is one that puts no institution that claims religious objection because it's related to the church, whether it's Catholic hospital or a Catholic university, in a position where they either have to pay for it or provide benefits that they find objectionable," Lew told Schieffer. "But women will have the right to get them."

Lew said that change does the job of "reconciling two very important principles."

I suppose it does, but those are Marxist atheistic totalitarian statist principles. There is no reference nor resemblance to American foundational principles.

If Obama thought he could get away with imposing a one child policy , he would. It’s all part of his eugenics inspired social engineering communist ideology.

Thuggery it is. And no one seems to mention the obvious fact: if 99% of American women are using contraceptives (and abortifacients), where’s the access-problem?

Not that this is about contraceptives. What is it about “Congress shall make no law . . .” that they don’t get? We know that answer. Congress ain’t makin’ the law! The Executive branch is legislating now. There are too many things wrong, illogical, and illegal about this “initiative” to cover in a blog. Rein this traitor in, Congress!

Roman Catholic church took a stand in 1096 AD. It’s time to party again like it’s 1096 AD.

Does anyone else get the impression that the Obama Admin and the Dems are trying (and failing) to play the “triangulation” game here?

The Administration, through HHS, puts forward an extremist and blatantly unacceptable policy. Conservatives go after it, and it starts gaining press. The Presidents “allies” (such as Pelosi) dig in and start launching rhetorical bombs from the other side.

Then the President comes forward with a reasonably-sounding “compromise” in an attempt to place himself into the middle/moderate ground between the “extremist” (note I put that in quotes) Conservatives ... and the true extremists (the Liberals in his own party)?

"We have broad consensus - not universal consensus - that this is an approach that's right," Lew said.
Newsflash, America, you've just been Delphi'd.

@Using the Delphi Technique to Achieve Consensus

The Delphi Technique and consensus building are both founded in the same principle - the Hegelian dialectic of thesis, antithesis, and synthesis, with synthesis becoming the new thesis. The goal is a continual evolution to "oneness of mind" (consensus means solidarity of belief) -the collective mind, the wholistic society, the wholistic earth, etc. In thesis and antithesis, opinions or views are presented on a subject to establish views and opposing views. In synthesis, opposites are brought together to form the new thesis. All participants in the process are then to accept ownership of the new thesis and support it, changing their views to align with the new thesis. Through a continual process of evolution, "oneness of mind" will supposedly occur.

@Python (mythology)
In Greek mythology, Python (Greek: Πύθων, gen.: Πύθωνος) was the earth-dragon of Delphi, always represented in Greek sculpture and vase-paintings as a serpent. He presided at the Delphic oracle, which existed in the cult center for his mother, Gaia, "Earth," Pytho being the place name that was substituted for the earlier Krisa.
