Let’s be honest here. The convention is going to nominate one of the 4 candidates running even if it is brokered. There is no way rank and file GOP voters are going to put up with some loser like Jeb Bush being installed after going through the expense and time of a Primary. If Mittens is short delegates, rest assured Paul will release his to him. They are buddies.

I am not saying the end result will get us any closer to a true Conservative candidate but if it means we step away from say a ROMNEY then well...I would at least support the process as a last ditch effort.

You're correct and that's a damn shame. The GOP ought to nominate somebody who might actually beat Obama. In an election year where "anybody can beat Obama" it seems the GOP found the only four guys who can't.

All indications say this guy should be shopping for a house right about now and writing the speeches that will bring him big bucks on the post-presidential lecture circuit. Instead, he's leading in the polls and nobody even bothers to show up at the Republican primaries. It's pretty damn discouraging.
