” I like Newt somewhat, but I don’t trust him. He can be a little scattered times, & he has fits of liberalism. “
” I am not energized.”
Yes, I know. Newt reminds me sometimes of Churchill too. You know, the genius stuff and the ability for soaring oratory that can move a nation. Those two exhibits are a gift. Nevermind his unmatched political experience, and historic success in ‘94.
We should probably just say, “thank you”, and take energy tablets.
So who do YOU think can defeat Obama?
“Spare us” falls under a request. The phrase is not catagorically a denial of your rights. We all know that even Newt’s bags have baggage, as some columnist said, but for those who on every thread wish to drop in to obsess on Newts decades old baggage of the early 90’s we would like to be spared. Newt is a Christian, a repentant Christian, and he nor Santorum, nor you, nor me are above repentance in this world, daily actually. The purity contest will be measured in the next world. We have a RINO to beat on Saturday and there is but one man breathing down his neck.
It is not Santorum. It’s Newt Gingrich. It’s just the math that will be accepted on Saturday, or if rejected delivers the RINO.
Personally, I will go for one who has a better chance of stopping the Muslim in the White House.
Question is ...do they detest the Kenyon more?
Much the same way Herman Cain had from the beginning
We've just cast our early ballots for Newt here in Florida
.
I’ve said this since Rick won Iowa, all he is doing is playing spoiler so that we wind up with Romney, nothing more.
Mitt's policies have been the same as Obama’s. A Dem campaign consultant said a week or two ago that he DARED Mitt to go after ObamaCare. It would be “Mitt vs Mitt”. Here is a new ad that illustrates exactly what will happen if Mitt is our nominee:

The Ricks won't beat Romney or Obama. They are not strong enough to go up against the Obama machine where it matters most, during the debates. If we are all honest, Newt wins EVERY debate and therefore, wins the argument. We need a candidate that can argue and win the argument that Obama and his polices are wrong for America. #withNewt
>>> Nevermind his unmatched political experience, and historic success in 94. <<<
>>> “Which was followed by his EPIC FAIL a few years later.” <<<
Thank you for obsessing. We conservatives needed to be reminded why we get RINO nominees who then go on to lose. You have provided that evidence for us. Seems we are better at harrumphing than doing the simple math. You have one life saver floating in front of you in South Carolina. I would suggest before you take us all under, that you just reach for it.
And your proposal is to.....? What— back the low tier guy, in the break out state, against the break out candidate? Hey, do your thing. Your math assignment comes due on Saturday in South Carolina. Check back with us then, and assess for us how the tall guy with the perfect hair and no performance wins the pivotal state before Florida, because we couldn’t quite manage to clear the brush in time for the guy breathing down his neck to overtake him. Yes, do access for us, on Saturday.
Not going to do it. I prefer Santorum, but I’ll happily take Gingrich instead. In fact, I don’t see any other Santorum fans bashing Gingrich... mostly Perry’s people. And I suspect some Romney people who know they;ll lose arguments if they openly support ROmney.
>> Yes, I know. Newt reminds me sometimes of Churchill too. <<
The current president reminds me of Churchill, too!
(Ward Churchill, that is.)
it ain’t ever gonna be head-to-head. Paulistas ain’t droppin’ out.
It would be Mitt vs. Newt vs Paul.
40/40/20
Hattie, John Kerry was polling 51-44 ahead of Bush 4 months before the 2004 election. There is simply no way to predict the outcome this many months out. The general campaign hasn’t even begun. All these amateur political scientists who feel so sure that whoever they’re backing is electable might feel pretty stupid later. You need to look at who you think will campaign better against Obama in the long haul, not who’s polling better right now.
Bain used leveraged buyouts. Bain literally borrowed money in the name of the companies they were taking over, driving them into debt. There is much research on Bain and others that shows this debt makes those companies unhealthy and more likely to go bankrupt. It’d be fine if Bain bought those companies with their own money, but they didn’t. Bain made sure they profited first whether or not those companies went bankrupt under the heavy debt load.
