Single dad trying to reclaim home OWS took over

They’re occupying his home.

Occupy Wall Street protesters announced with great fanfare last month that they moved a homeless family into a “foreclosed” Brooklyn home — even though they knew the house belonged to a struggling single father desperately trying to renegotiate his mortgage, The Post has learned.

“They’re trying to take a house and say the bank is robbing the people because the mortgage is too high — so contact the owner!” fumed Wise Ahadzi, 28, who owns the home at 702 Vermont St. in East New York.

Occupiers “reclaimed” the row house on Dec. 6 and ceremoniously put out the welcome mat for a homeless family.

“They only stay here sometimes,” a protester named Charlie said of the Carrasquillos. “There’s not enough room for the kids.”

Beggars can't be choosers....but apparently, thieves can.

The only difference between OWS and government eminent domain laws is the PR.

Something smells fishy here, apart from the obvious OWS scam: the guy bought his house for $424K, it’s now worth $150K, and he still doesn’t want to walk away from it? It doesn’t seem like he’ll be recovering its worth for decades... He’d be much better off trying to buy another house for $150K.

There ought to be laws against breaking and entering, vandalism and (no doubt) theft. /S

Crazy as it may seem. Just maybe he isn’t interested in the worth of a house but is interested in it as a home.

The entire front page of the Post is like a left wing horror show today.

This story is unbelievable. They’re stealing from the poor to give to the communists. Wait...why do I find that so hard to believe? It’s what they do.

The Infest Wall Street is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bolshecratic Party and they will not cause any problems at the convention of loons in Charlotte. They already have tickets to Tampa.

As much as I agree with you there is no chance of that ever happening in the People’s Republic of New York.

This is a scene right out of Dr. Zhivago when once the Revolution began, his home was “expropriated for the People” — You don’t need all that room. You don’t need all that stuff. Let us give it to those in “need.”

Indeed. I have a niece in the mission field. She and her husband, who pastors a church, live in the Congo.
She reports that this past week the government RAISED taxes on food by 16%! A friend of hers said she paid $45 more for her food than she paid the week before.
That is a 16% increase in the cost of food for the poorest of the poor.
The additional money likely will finance the lifestyles of the ruling class. Meanwhile the people starve, and food aid is stolen, by the ruling class.

Google map the address and street view it. He should walk away and look on this as a blessing from God to escape that cr*%hole. Row houses with the entire front porch and entryway barred in is NO way to live.

Wow-—I feel ripped off after paying nearly $20 in bridge tolls entering NYC for the privelege—including pot holes and nasty, rude drivers. But this poor guy got the best of the Bloomberg sanctioned Scrooge by leftist dreck. NYC is expensive garbage of a hassled ripoff.
