The GOP: The party of bailouts & cronyism. Destruction of Tea Party complete.

Posted on 01/10/2012 10:34:33 PM PST by Minus_The_Bear

The GOP has chosen. The destruction of the TEA Party is almost complete.

The Weekly Standard, National Review, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, & all the establishment Republicans have driven the TEA Party out of the picture.

Now we are told that taking Federal bailouts = capitalism & that anybody who disagrees should just shut up. Why did they TEA Party start in the first place?

Without ethics capitalism is doomed to corruption.

I expect every Romney voter would support Solyndra or GE... because "it's just capitalism"

Sadly firing folks in this economy is not populist.

"If South Carolina and following primaries go this way, then we’re definitely in trouble."

Yep. We all expected mittens to win NH. Some expected him to win by over 40%. Iowa was a bit of a surprise. It'd sure be nice to get the count before SC.

South Carolina polls show Romney in the lead. What’s wrong with them?

It’s a pretty sad state of affairs when questions of business ethics are misconstrued as somehow being attacks on capitalism itself.

It is not just Romney and the Goldman Sachs, Its Obama and the Goldman Sachs.

Look at Obama... He is looting the country 5 ways from Sunday.

Rip Off artists should be shunned.

Iran Paul is a Libertarian Party representative, not a Tea Party representative. Last I checked the Tea Party weren’t anti-war hippies for legalizing drugs and slashing military spending. If you were, you didn’t need to invent a new party, just register Libertarian.

The primary system is rigged. Most states have little to do with choosing the nominee.

By the time it gets to Florida Romney could have it wrapped up.

The label unfortunately fits. A viable option(s) would be great. Romney is the msm pick. The options are going to be bad and worse it seems. I really wish Paul walked the walk on the committee. I could deal with holding my nose on certain things.

Oh, I agree. I stopped fooling around with the GOP 6 years ago. Reince Preibus (or however he spells his name) is an establishment puppet.

I always listen to Rush. Today I wanted to crawl through the line and strangle him. He doesn’t get the fact we know that there are times where capitalism exceeds it’s limit and becomes socialism for the few.

If the Tea Party groups wanted to be relevant, the Tea Party groups should have endorsed a candidate before Iowa. Sitting on the sidelines shows complacency, cowardice, acquiescence and weakness. The establishment didn’t wait to endorse their candidate of choice. Why is the Tea Party surrendering like this? I’m very unimpressed with their timidity.

Tonight our folks voted Romney.

I have a problem with that.

I PRAY your forecast is right. Considering the fact that 75% of us do NOT want Romney, I find it very disturbing that he’s sailed right through these first two contests that capture so much national attention.

And Brit Hume said something that was also significant - Ron Paul stays in and ruins any other candidate’s chance of defeating Romney. Damn him (RP, I mean).

IMHO Palin showed a lot of smarts by staying out of the race because destiny will consign the winner (Romney) to a slow death in the tarpit of American economic morass caused by ruinous central bankster debt.

I think you have it backward. The Republican Party’s destruction will be complete. They are about to join the Whigs on the ash heap of history. The Tea Party will live on.

From your lips, Brother. The Grand Old Potty can’t die fast enough, IMHO. The Corrupt Bastards.

You give up...I refuse...we got stuck with McLame last time and I ended up voting for him because for once in his most recent life he made a good choice(Sarah Palin, remember her?). Still lots of time left to panic and go screaming through the streets like a little girl stung by a bee.
