It basically then looks like Romney bought out struggling businesses at a bargain rate, and just kinda got lucky when a handful of them succeeded big. That’s kinda like me buying 100 stocks and claiming I’m a business genius when 5 of them get massive gains. I’m still struggling to see where Romney did anything that required any particular skill that suits him for the presidency. It seems like anyone with deep pockets could have played the Bain game and done pretty well. His governorship was a disaster too of course. He couldn’t outmaneuver his opposition on anything and he became so unpopular he declined to seek reelection.

I’m not an investment person but if what I read was correct, the debt was held against the company itself and not Bain. So they got profits but the companies couldn’t pay the debt. It sounded crooked when I read it. It was a CNN article so who knows if they’re telling the truth or not.
