Well, we have the citizens of 8th District of Ohio to thank. So thank you, damn it.

Well, I should think the right response is to encourage the citizens of that great state's district to elect someone else. Most of us have someone who deserves the boot. I know in my state, for example, we have "Senator" Al Franken. I can't wait to get rid of him.

Here is the official Drudge Report link to cnn as to what happened.

http://www.cnn.com/2011/12/22/politics/congress-payroll-tax-cut/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

Washington (CNN) — A compromise measure to extend the payroll tax cut for two months comes before the House and Senate on Friday after Speaker John Boehner dropped his opposition under mounting pressure from the White House, congressional Democrats and fellow Republicans.

Both chambers will be asked to give unanimous consent, a procedural move that would allow the measure to pass even though most members will be home for the holidays.

If no one shows up to object in person, the plan originally worked out by the Senate and modified slightly Thursday to get the support of Boehner and House Republicans would go to President Barack Obama’s desk.

Obama has promised to sign it, as well as a separate appropriations bill to fund the government through September 2012, before heading off to Hawaii to join his family for the holidays.

Now was that election ever a joke.

It looks like Boehner did get the Senate to make some small fixes to their (Senate compromise) bill. I just saw Reid on FNC pass the new version in the Senate on unanimous consent without the Senate being present. I heard some details of it on CSPAN this morning.

Now Boehner has to pass the same bill on his side.

Reaching across the aisle, “moderating” our tone - that’s what got us what we’re looking at right now in Obamaland. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Merry Christmas to you!

In two months, when this all goes to pieces, I want Boehner to stand up in front of the microphones, with the House republicans behind him, and loudly proclaim, “I TOLD YOU SO!”

Won’t happen.

I’m getting to be of the opinion, that unless an individual is a conservative and is going to uphold the Constitution, they will not be getting my vote. I don’t care who they are running against. Principles aren’t meant to be negotiable.

I agree with you 100%...it makes one wonder. How could they not see this coming, but they didn't. If the Repubs get the Senate, this shouldn't happen anymore, but it appears they do not think strategically, at all.

Better watch out, you’ll have the hounds on your 6 parroting the ‘Then you’re just voting for Obama” screed.

Newt (the ‘outsider’ *BWAHahaha*) vs. Mittens (the N.E. RINO)....Hummm, which of these Republicans, since they aren’t CONSERVATIVE, is the gang willing to hold its nose (yet again) and vote for?

Worst part, NOBODY went back/stayed to block the unanimous consent. Maybe they should DEEM it passed too, JUST to be safe

And until we FORCE them to begin reporting the truth,

Deal wit it, pal. You have just seen a masterful Public Relations play that is completely beyond the ken of the Republican Party. The Mombasa MF and his media team have whipped our boys like a $5 mule, beaten them like a red-headed step child, handed them their asses on a platter, backed'em into a corner, made'em eat crow, crawl, eat shiite and die. Why now, it's the Republican Party that is AGAINST Tax cuts.

This communicational inability has ever been thus during my life time, reaching its present nadir during the ascendancy of the quintessential country-club RINO, Mr. Boehner. This is also the legacy of Karl (The Mexicans are the Republicans of the Future) Rove.

Rule number 1 of any political party ought to be

Don't Embarrass the Base

Thanks, Messrs. J. Boehner and M. McConnell. You have made anyone who supports what used to called the Republican Party look like an utter fool. You yourselves deserve that Democrat-Awarded Cooperation Prize. Why don't you two RINO ani look up what happened to NAZI collaborators in France, Norway, and Holland?

BTW, Boehner is one of the biggest hounds in DC. A hearty partier, heavy drinker, and quite the gallant swain. Wouldn't be at all surprised if the Mombasa MF is blackmailing the exquisitely tailored SOB. IMNSHO, There can be no other reason for his slavish osculation of the hindquarters of the Mombasa MF.

Keystone pipeline is tied to it...sort off. O has 60 days to approve/disapprove of it, rather than after the elections (18 months)
