I do not think that Stalins son would have held the Soviet Union, plus the sons of other dictators lack the strong fist that their parents always do. They are usually pampered playboys and are unable to be taken seriously by the hardline generals.
Saddam's sons were the exception to that rule. They were even more sick, sadistic, and twisted than Saddam. On the other hand, they might not have lasted long if Saddam died. The military might have decided to take those sick little bastards out quickly.

That’s why I didn’t mention Saddam’s sons; Uday was pushed out as heir, but Qusay was installed and he would have attacked us either way since Qusay didn’t have Saddam’s healthy fear and respect of the US like Saddam did. I am sure that hte military would have taken them out, or tried, but Qusay had control of the secret police and was smarter and a lot more intellectual than Uday, who was a sadistic and typical firstborn of most (if not all) dictators.

It isn't for kids. Great movie though.
