If the Tea Party now embraces Romney, it will have accepted defeat and surrendered to the ruling class.

What if Romney eventually becomes the GOP nominee, and in Nov. '12 it's either him or another 4 years of America's Chickens Coming Home to Roost?

Should the Tea Party very begrudgingly mumble some kind of wet napkin support for Romney, or write off the White House and focus on Conservative House/Senate candidates to thwart the Executive Branch?

Just askin'

Romney, by virtue of his lack of contrast with 0bama, is probably the weakest GOP candidate who could be nominated in 2012. The resultant de-energizing which would consequently occur within the TEA party base would be a critical factor in the general election, quite possibly tipping the situation in 0bama's favor.

If we don't allow ourselves to be put in that predicament, it won't become an issue. We need to make our voices heard loud and clear that we are not going to sit back and allow the faux conservatives like Coulter, Will, Haley and Noonan and the Republican establishment decide for us that Romney will be the nominee. I for one see no reason to waste my time to go out and vote if the election is between Obama and Romney. I have never had that attitude before about a Republican nominee. I was even prepared to support Giuliani in 2008 had he been the nominee -- at least he was honest about where he stood and had some backbone. Romney's a liar and a wuse.

None of the above. It should do what it should have done from the beginning: write off the useless and feckless gop and build a third major political party.

The irony here is thick, because the moment that Ron Paul walks and goes third party, the howling at FR will be at a fever pitch. After all, how DARE a Constitutionalist do anything but support the grand old plantation?! Why, it might even cause the mittens to lose! Oh, the horrors!
