As a former submariner, lemme just jump in with the .02 here. We're supposedly fed as well as anyone in the service. I hope that's not necessarily true, because while we might have gotten surf and turf on Halfway Night, we certainly didn't eat anywhere near as well as you think we did.

And anytime you think we're out there just "on vacation", might I suggest you join us for a few months to put your views in proper perspective?
