It sure is a different world now... Used to be that foreign aid was used as leverage to bring warring states to the negotiating table, or to exact certain strategic actions. Now it’s all about “gay rights.”

Well, “gay” may be the “in thing” in New America, but it’s not quite so fashionable in other places in the world. Erstwhile recipients of U.S. foreign aid will look to China and do their bidding instead.
