Herman Cain Announcement LIVE THREAD (Video Feed Link) [Suspending!]
HermanCain.com ^ | 12-03-2011

Posted on 12/03/2011 8:18:19 AM PST by montag813

Herman Cain is expected to make a "major announcement" today, anytime between 11am and 1pm EST in Atlanta. The media is assuming he will quit the race. Politico is positively glowing with anticipation of this. Will he fold, or FIGHT? He is also opening a new Atlanta HQ. Twitter reports that people are jamming in early to show their support.

We simply don't know what will happen, or when it will happen. What are your thoughts? Do you think he should quit? Or do you think Cain should stay in the race and deny the State-Run Media yet another GOP scalp on a platter - for unproven allegations -while they allow a vile rapist like Clinton, or commie cokehead like Obama breeze through unscathed?

HERE IS THE LIVE VIDEO FEED LINK: http://hermancain.com/livestream

"I wonder if anyone understands that having radiation and chemotherapy for colon and liver cancer in your pelvic area results in a high percentage of destroying your testicles and leaving most men impotent, with low levels of testosterone."

I've been wondering about that same thing. It isn't the kind of thing most guys would talk about, he may be forced to talk about it today.

Well said but I don’t think Cain is getting out.It infuriates me what the media are doing and they let Obama skate.IT will turn out that WOMEN FOR CAIN will help him and he is only organizing to beat the Axie machine.I hope his wife gets on stage and proves Cain was not having an affair but he helped a woman;which is not anything wrong..Some one should break in the news the book just written about Obama that he is a fraud and had a tryst with Larry Sinclair.

You stand with Herman Cain, or you stand with the Obama/Axelrod initiated smear machine

Let me get this straight. You are saying I support Obama if I don't support Herman Cain?

The blonde bimbo they paraded out lives in Axelrod’s apartment building in Chicago for heaven’s sake. TheO’s fingerprints are all over this. Let there be no deviation from the liberal dem viewpoint for blacks. Stay on that plantation or we will destroy you.

I’m watching it on CNN live feed on their website.

It’s obvious to me he is NOT resigning. The guys who keep talking sound like they are running a pep-rally.

LOL! I loved Ann Coulter’s comment, “where there’s smoke, look for journalists furiously rubbing two sticks together.”

I hear you on your irritation with Bachmann, but Cain has gushed more praise at Romney than she has, and Cain has been more sneeringly dismissive of Perry than she has.

You may have a point. Like the rest of us here, I do not know if the allegations are true or false. However, our commitment must be to our values first - including "family" values - and to any particular candidate second. No candidate deserves blind, unquestioning allegiance.

So, I guess from your reasoning, Axelrod can go trot out some two-bit gold digger to make up stories about your preferred candidate, and you'll abandon him as well?

You have a very sick sense of humor.

I'd rather have First Lady Gloria Cain then a staffer who Lewinskied a married man who was also the Speaker of the House in the Congressional Parking Lot.

I pray you are right. When I see how some here on FreeRepublic gleefully slurp up the propaganda dished out by Axelrod, it drives me to despair.

This isn’t even about whether he can win the nomination or not...it’s MUCH bigger. This is about right and wrong, truth and lies, and whether or not we are going to let the journalistas and their overlords in the DNC rape the American Way and our electoral process. Damn the torpedoes, Mr. Cain, full speed ahead! Don’t let the bastards win this...

Adultery is an issue "about right and wrong, truth and lies." That is why no candidate deserves blind, unquestioning obedience. If the allegations are true (and that is a big IF) then Herman Cain has betrayed the fundamental values - including "family" values - of the Republican Party - and, as you say, the "American Way."

I for one will wait and see if the allegations are proven or, hopefully, disproven.

He is staying in the race, by all indications. I never NEVER seen a concession speech or withdrawl speech ramped up this way they are making the crowd announcements in Atlanta (sign up sheet for volunteers, T-shirts, etc. etc). Talking in the future tense, that kind of thing. His campaign would not authorize this kind of crowd warm up if they knew his decision was to suspend or withdrawl. And by now, they all know in the inner circle. This is going to be really fun. Wonder how Axelrod and the White House and White House RINO-dom is going to respond to something like this. I bet Mrs. Cain is with him by his side and makes a statement. I just feel it. I'll eat my words later today if it does not turn out that way. (Gotta hit the sack here soon, nearly 2 a.m. Sunday).

Wake Up!! He’s been destroyed by his own actions!!

Agreed, he has not handled the bimbo erruptions very well, made a fool out of himself on the ubekistan comment and stumbled poorly on the Libya question, not good, not ready for prime time. Couple all of that with the fact that he had a "friendship" for 13 years with a woman, was helping her out financially for 13 years and never told his wife. If nothing was going on and it was all above board his wife should have known about it. Doesn't speak well of his character. Whether there was something going on or not, he humiliated her. If this was a dem - everyone would be screaming for him to drop out, they would be calling him a liar and a womanizer, the hypocrisy is stunning.

It would also be nice if he would mention how diligently the press has gone after him and how studiously they have avoided doing the same to Obama!

I feel Cain is in for the run as long as his campaign funds allow. If he stays, he will, I believe, climb again in the standings, and his contributions will rise.

As to the rush by the media to condemn him: It is not just the liberal media, it is also the Carl Rove; the good old boys club of the GOP; and scared Dems who do not want Cain in the race. And, probably many CPA's and accountants have a huge concern...because with the 999 plan, they will lose a lot of business. Think about that and who else might be behind this smear campaign that is most likely has been plotted and spearheaded by entities connected to powers in Chicago because I believe Obama is the most frightened by Cain. However, that said:

There are a couple of things about this recent woman's story of a 13 year affair that have not been discussed and just do not make sense or add up. Yet, no one is asking these questions and, instead people like Rove and many in the media are assuming all the allegations have some truth. But.... (1) IF, and that is a big IF Cain helped her AND had an affair with her, just why would any sensible person expose that relationship when there was a chance that the man could become President and help her even more? It makes no sense if a person is needy and thankful for any previous help that she received. Obviously she is neither, and her statement that she was concerned about the other women who accused Cain of some sexual harassment, makes no sense either. Why would a person, who is getting money from someone, cut of their own access to funds in order to help women who have already been shown to have lied and who certainly cannot help her? The only answer..ONLY.. is that she is lying also, and someone else promised her money if she said that Cain's help was more than just monetary and that she had an on-going affair. (yeah, right, like through the time that he was fighting and recovering from cancer???)

(2) How did this woman suddenly have a list of text messages ready and waiting to expose unless she had help from others to get this together and had been planning something so she could be paid by one of/some of Cain's enemies? And, how many other people has this woman hit up for money over the years? I am sure Cain is not the only one. Where is that list of those text messages, or the names of Other people that she turned to for money? With her record it is most likely that Cain is not the only one she tapped for funds. Is she going to claim affairs with all of them?

(3) And it is not important if he ever told his wife about helping this woman. I know plenty of business men and women who help others and do not discuss it with their spouses. Do you think Donald Trump tells his wife who he sends money to help? I doubt Cain felt it was anything but an act of kindness that he was doing and not some secret that he had to hide.

(4) If Cain, as he admitted, has been giving her money, (as I am sure others have)...how about someone getting the IRS to investigate her and her bank account. I expect this woman never reported any financial "gifts" as income. And I am sure the money given to here were not considered "loans." Wonder how much money she has begged for and received for which she never paid taxes? She has probably received money from the government, and if she has been getting any welfare or food stamps she must report any and all monetary gifts. This is a woman who should be investigated and made to pay back the government.

(6) Obviously she has not been too strapped for cash if she can afford a cell phone and send thousands of text messages. It is apparent this woman is a blood-sucking leech and a slanderer. Her ex-partner took her to court for slander, and won, proving that even the courts (and her family, by the way) have all declared that she is a liar.

I feel so sorry for Cain. He has been hurt by all these allegations and I do not believe he is an unfaithful husband or a man who has done anything these women claim. He might not have become the final candidate, but this campaign against him was engineered to ruin his life, not just his chance at the White House. There are far more people who know him who can attest to his morality, sincerity, kind heart, and decency. Only a few greedy, low-life women have tried to discredit him in a way that is de plorable and slanderous. But the media wants to control the outcome of all elections and so journalists tempt and encourage people to believe the liars rather than the true friends and co-workers and associates who know Cain's real character and qualities and who have defended him throughout all of these untrue stories.

EXACTLY!

We have a local “progressive” paper controlled by the New York Times. Most folks outside of the city look at the paper endorsements and voted the opposite. We have seen enough of this slime in the past to recognize the source.

Go Cain!!!!!!
