Interesting. When somebody outside the Cain campaign says something, they're "unfounded allegations." When the Cain campaign named the one man it knew leaked the two harassment claims at the National Restaurant Association because Herman Cain had told him about one of them when Cain ran for Senate, it's not considered an allegation by Cain supporters.

Remember that Cain claimed he only knew of one claim. Remember that Cain said he told the advisor of only that one claim when Cain ran for Senate.

So is it that that guy, who was never at the National Restaurant Association, was the only person in the world that could have leaked both settlements?

And why does everyone say all of this was set up by Obama and his Chicago machine? In 1998 and 1999, did the unknown Barack Obama fear that the unknown President of the National Restaurant Association, Herman Cain, would one day run in the primaries to run against Obama for President? And coerce two women to make claims against Cain back in 1999?

None of that is logical.

Scientist have just recently discovered that just being in the company of a sociopath for even a few minutes a day can turn one also into a sociopath. It's a kind of chemical thing they think. 1 corinthians 15:33

By 1998 Obama was VERY well known, and had already made quite a splash by winning a Senate seat. Thus it was at least by that time he was well on his way to being cultivated as a future Democrat presidential candidate.

After all, it was in that campaign that Obama's smearticians such as Axelrod, conducted a similar scorched-earth campaign against his opponent to what is going on now.

It's not as if running for president is something one does on the spur of the moment no matter which party. Each party pays very close attention to the other's rising stars, speakers and commentators, just as professional baseball scouts do when looking at players around the league either for promising recruits or for studying opposing team's players so as to know how best to deal with them on game day.

Illinois senate seat, second term, not US Senate.

Even if all you won was a seat as a county treasurer, or were just a campaign bundler for someone, or are involvd in a group such a the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the other party takes note and keeps a dossier on you just in case you get ambitious. Heck, the Dems went to the trouble of passing a state law about doctor shopping down here just to try to set up Rush Limbaugh a few years later - and it worked.
