Newt is a looming disaster for us. The media will savage him, and he’ll be lucky to get 45% of the vote. 300 million people in this country, and we’ve now got Perry, Romney or Gingrich to choose from. Sad.

John Kerry, Newt Gingrich Take On Environment, Each Other ........"Gingrich began first with a concession to his opponent. Holding the new book by Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, Gingrich said, "This is a very good book. As a clearly right-wing reader, I would commend the book" as one that shows examples of local leadership on environmental issues.

"I would agree with about 60 percent of this book," he added.

Kerry of Massachusetts also took a friendly stance in his opening remarks before turning to the debate, sponsored by New York University's John Brademas Center for the Study of Congress.

"While I don't have his book in hand, and I don't know what it's about, I've always enjoyed every dialogue he and I have ever had," Kerry said, calling the global-warming face-off the "environmental version of the Lincoln-Douglas debates."

....Gingrich raised some discrepancies among the science that has led to the current data on climate change, but when asked pointedly about science doubters, like Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., Gingrich strongly held the case that climate change is a problem.

"What would you say to Sen. Inhofe and others in the Senate who are resisting even science? What's your message to them here today?" Kerry asked.

"My message, I think is that the evidence is sufficient that we should move towards the most effective possible steps to reduce carbon loading in the atmosphere —"

"And do it urgently, now?" Kerry interrupted.

"Urgently, yes," Gingrich said."................

In that case, I pick Perry. He at least says to close the border first, then have the conversation with the American people on what to do with the people already here. Newt chose wrong in the New York 23 race, remember that? I forgot about that until hearing Michelle Malkin on F&F this morning. He had the chance to back the conservative yet chose not to. We should have won that race. Newt most conservative in the race as he now says? I don't think so. IMMHO

Perry is looking better each day and he's the one with the record of accomplishment, too.

Perry can effectively run against Obama as the one with the record of creating jobs while Obama destroyed them.

The media will savage him

That's a given for any Republican nominee. One thing different about Gingrich is he has so much baggage the media cannot resist overplaying their hand. There will be a voter backlash against the media at some point and the attacks may lose all effect.

Gingrich has a better chance than Mittens of defeating Barky. That's the main reason voters are breaking towards him.

Forget Newton, Romney, and Rick Perry. Try the other Rick — Santorum. Less baggage.

Remember, there are 310 million people in this country, roughly 60% of voting age and eligibility, meaning roughly 186 million people are voting age. Of those, if trends hold true, we’ll have roughly 72% of the voters turn out. That’s roughly some 134 million voters. Obama will have some 30% that loyally vote Democrat no matter what. Leaving some 40.2 million votes for Obama. The rest are those who are making a decision on Obama or the Republican or some 3rd party candidate. Here’s the problem with that. We’re looking at roughly 94 million undecided or Republican and 99 million who will vote Obama. The dead talk.
