Not just the Tea Party. 75% of the Republican party don't want Romney the chameleon whether it be Tea Party folks, movement conservatives, etc, etc. If you think about it, it is the ONE thing unifying most of us (aside from agreeing that Obama is a failed socialist disaster). Yes, we all may be supporting different candidates or struggling to decide who to vote for - but I have never seen EVERY conservative/Republican I know so completely unified against our supposed front runner. I STILL can't find a conservative that I either know or even just interact with who supports Mitt. None. I just can't find these mythical Romney supporters. I did discover a pro-Mitt forum exists, but there was virtually no activity on it at all.
I think Huntsman has potential to be a solid nominee. If you can get past his “moderate” rhetoric, he actually has a great platform - particularly on the economy and the banking system. As governor he was strong on school choice, and was a favorite of CATO.
I also believe that he has the ability to win big in the general - and if that happens, the GOP will keep and perhaps expand its House majority and take a several seat majority in the senate.
Huntsman, however, faces long odds in the primary. After him, I guess our best option is Newt. I have some doubts about him though...
