The station also released a statement from Cain's attorney, Lin Wood, who said the allegations of "private, alleged consensual conduct between adults" is not "not a proper subject of inquiry by the media or the public."

That statement by Herman's lawyer wouldn't be very reassuring to me if I were on the Cain train. First it's bunk, whether someone running for President was cheating on their wife is most certainly a proper subject of inquiry by the media. Second, Lin Wood doesn't actually deny anything - he just complains about whether the media should cover it in the first place.

Not when they pick their targets and trumpet the peccadillos of some while literally turning a blind eye to those of favored personages. It’s disgusting and terrible and corrupt and... honestly I can’t think up a sufficiently disgusted word. It’s the end of America if the stories aren’t true but they can run a man (a BLACK man) out of town with made up lies as long as there are enough of them. They could do that to ANYBODY! I will NOT accept this gentleman being lynched with the communist press organs as Judge, Judy and Axecutioner~!
