ATLANTA -- Herman Cain on Monday pre-emptively denied a forthcoming accusation by a woman who is expected to say she had a 13-year affair with the Republican presidential candidate.
In an apparent effort to get ahead of the story, Cain appeared in a cable news interview to say the woman is "someone who I know, who is an acquaintance, who I thought was a friend."
MyFoxAtlanta.com released some details of the story, which is scheduled to air Monday night, shortly after Cain appeared on CNN -- identifying the accuser as an Atlanta businesswoman named Ginger White.
"It was pretty simple," White told the station. "It wasn't complicated. I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship."

She's another questionable character, but it's the lawyer's statement that convinces me it's over for Cain.
And let’s be aware that they are showing us exactly what they will do to Newt if he wins the nomination. That is why he is the darling of the left. They know they can destroy him with his marriage/divorce issue.

I’m guessin’ that if the CEO of a major corporation wanted to have a THIRTEEN year affair, he could find a woman with a lot more class and much better looks than this one.
I’m going to place my bet that Slick Willy “I sold missile-guidance technology to the ChiComs” Clinton put a $10 bill on a fish hook and cast it into a trailer park to find this one. (Isn’t that how the left claimed women with wild stories were discovered?)
The odd thing is Slick Willie was caught “red-handed,” he perjured/lied and he stayed in the WH, so some politicians can survive this.
Better that this is coming out now than in late Oct 12 before the election. This’ll get swept under the rug in a few months. People are tired of the nosiness into private lives of politicans.

I totally disagree. Newt has done something really strange. He let allegations of his past blow into far worse than the actual truth. Now he has his children setting the record straight on the death bed divorce and it is far different than we have heard. Plus many of these stories have been out for some time and that doesn't seem to be hurting him in the polls.
I think Newts real problem is his Progressive tendencies.
The harassement allegations are clearly not working, so they found someone whom they could get to lie about Herman and claim an affair.

It is simply vile for anyone claiming to be a conservative to take pleasure in such, which certainly betrays an even baser set of motives. Note the timing of these "allegations": They are "coming out" just as people are getting the bad news about Gingrich. It is therefore likely intended to inoculate conservatives from going back to Mr. Cain, global-warming-gun-grabber Gingrich being a trap, the latest version of the famed Fred Thompson fan dance if you will. Those considering themselves supporters of Mr. Gingrich have only to wait for the ol' RINO swan dive.
There have been plenty of years for this to come out with Mr. Cain in a prominent public role, and it didn't. I call BS until I see truly compelling and unambiguous evidence otherwise, and whatever-you-can-misconstrue doesn't count.
I might have given your word consideration as such a long time FReeper, but I have looked at your posts on this thread and you have convinced me not to take you seriously. The sheer number of instances in which you claim to channel the details and motives this supposed "relationship" shows that you are working off a fevered imagination, not information.
That is a very good question. I don’t understand why “they” are attacking Cain and it does not seem to stop. Odd.

I am scratching my had about why this was posted for me. I am assuming Herman Cain is innocent of these charges until I see something substantial. My only concern this evening is for his family.
I was warning you of the likelihood of the Fred Thompson gambit re Gingrich. He's a classic beltway RINOcrat and will say whatever is necessary to gain support and then do as he is expected, just as he folded like a cheap suit when the government "shut down." If you value my opinion at all, you will not regard him as trustworthy.
Actually I'm wondering if I can value your opinion. Given the current dynamics of the race, it makes no sense to attack one candidate without presenting an alternative. Uunless, of course, you are advocating for Mitt Romney.
