LOL.... We fish for Halibut where I live.
I actually like the 30 pounders, but some of these monsters can get up to 200#. Those things can take well over an hour to land.... not my kind of fun... too much work. LOL

Uhhhh.... if its 800 lbs. he will spool a 6/0 in about 120 seconds. Better to use and int80 or a shimano 80W to be sure.
With one of my rods.
