In an ideal world this would be done simply by means of State constitutional amendment strictly limiting the States power. But such a world can only exist if the Federal Goverment is domestically all but powerless as it was founded to be.
The Sad truth is it may be that the only way to secure to ourselfs and our posterity the blessings of freedom is to separate from theses people completely so that there be no common lawless goverment over which their vote might weld power to oppress us.
The shotgun slugs are pretty damn nice; it’s what I’d want in my gun if some “SWAT” team broke in my apartment.

If someone admires Nazism and the German Gestapo they should move to NJ where Nazi LEOs, a despotic judiciary, and unconstitutional anti-2nd Amendment laws thrive almost 7 decades after Hitler blew out his filthy brains.
BTW, the NJ governor who so many conservative Repubs wanted to nominate for president has repeatedly refused to even consider a pardon for Mr. Aiken in order to help rectify to some degree the terrible miscarriage of justice that the Nazi-esque NJ judicial and LE systems inflicted on an innocent young man who was simply caught up in NJ's web of unconstitutional, oppressive, and un-American anti-gun laws. Instead, if I understand the situation correctly, the governor has recently expressed his full support for the officials and LEOs who arrested, tried, and convicted Mr.Aiken, and has publicly praised the unconstitutional gun laws of his state.
If I were the all-powerful absolute ruler of the universe, I would have NJ sawed off the continental US and then towed out to sea and sunk.
Foster (a cup-shaped, hollow, 1 oz. lead slug) is designed for cylinder bore barrels (that is, the same diameter from breech to muzzle — 0.729-inch for a 12 ga.). The same is true for the Brenneke slug. The Brenneke originated in Europe and is a solid lead slug with the wad screwed to the base. The lead of these slugs can be compressed by a choked barrel, but the projectile will have no accuracy. They will usually not cause a problem for the gun or shooter, other than excessive recoil.
Therefore, Fosters and Brennekes for open choke or cylinder bore shotgun barrels. Sabot slugs for rifled shotgun barrels.

Ultimately it all boils down to the juries, if these idiots on these juries would just say NO and not convict in cases like this the problem would quickly be solved. Unfortunately we get the government that we deserve (as a general population, not individually) so I don’t expect things to change unless and until the general population changes. It is interesting that in the black community there are more and more that are refusing to convict fellow blacks for any crime. Blacks have seen the injustices of the legal system for years now and are starting to revolt, how long before whites/Asians/Latinos follow suit?
Unfortunately this sort of thinking might be 'countered' by the government by selecting people not of that "race" for people they [really] wish to convict; I believe that jury-selection has been corrupted for some time, and such manipulations seem to be the next logical step.

The Aitken case is not unique in that the jury should have refused to convict; but there is something else they could have done -- when the judge refused to allow them access to the [full] law that he was accused of breaking they had more than enough to, individually & as a group, charge the judge with Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law. (14th Amendment guarantees due process; as does the 5th.)
Furthermore, it can be argued that the LEOs, prosecution and judge all are guilty of Conspiracy Against Rights regarding the 2nd Amendment.
