I don’t agree. Although Newt would inherit most of the Cain vote, Mitt would have an easier target. Perry would not get it. Mitt would rather face Newt than Cain, simple as that...

If they were to drive Cain out of the race, Cain voters would have to go somewhere and we know they would not go to Romney. Instead they would go to Newt, but Perry is so out of touch, he thinks they would go to him.

If it comes to 2 or 3 candidate debates, Newt, Cain, Romney---Newt wins.

Newt will handle Cain with kid gloves in their debate...he could make him look like a fool but won't, IMO.
