"We closed our store near Oakland City Hall today, for one day, to express the company's concern for the issue of wealth disparity in our country. The issue affects our employees and customers across the political spectrum."

Get ready to close some more, for more than one day to show solidarity with wealth being spent somewhere else.

Thanks for the quote - after all the outrage I wanted to make sure that they didn’t close it down for other reasons - like safety, not subject their customers to the nearby protest, etc.

It’s his business, and he can do what he wants. I guess he figures he’ll sell more suits to the unwashed protesters than he will to folks out there interviewing and trying to get a job. What an idiot.

Agreed.

And hopefully it won’t be too soon that the owner is off the air with his commercials. He sounds like a smoker or an ex-smoker. His voice is worse than fingernails on the chalkboard or hearing Janeane Garofalo speak.

I mentioned before the small mexican restaurant in my hometown. They were closed several years ago on the day that all the illegals protested. Their business dropped off considerably and I think they closed - I guess they forgot that many people they inconvenienced had supported them in the past. Ungrateful ingrates.
