Scientists Warn of Warming (NM-Big barf alert
The Albuquerque Journal ^ | Mon, Oct 17, 2011 | Aurelio Sanchez

Climate change brought on by global warming is real, and a panel of physicists says to ignore it is to increase the chances of a global catastrophe.

“We don’t know what’s going to happen, but we do know something bad is going to happen,” Mark Boslough, a physicist with Sandia National Laboratories, told ... the New Mexico chapter of the Fulbright Association.

In little more than a hundred years, the Industrial Revolution has brought astounding advancements in technology and life comforts, but at what price? Boslough asked. The potential consequences could range from inconvenient weather to global catastrophe, he said.

Meanwhile, fellow physicist Professor David Gutzler of the University of New Mexico said there is an abundance of scientific evidence from trusted international sources that growing carbon dioxide levels causing climate change can be attributed to humans.

It’s possible, according to some models, that temperatures could rise an average of more than 5 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter and almost 8 degrees F in summer by the end of the century. That’s compared with a total global change in average temperature of only 1 degree in the 20th century.

... Around the world, climate change could cause hurricanes, droughts, heat waves, wildfires and other natural disasters.

Saying he was speaking from a business perspective, Jeff Sterba, former CEO of PNM Resources, outlined some obstacles to addressing global warming, including “naysayers” who deny the existence of a problem.

NM's own collection of "chicken little's." And two of the three are from the usual suspects -- government sponsored labs looking for a new mission and academia teaching young minds full of mush. Sterba, on the other hand should know better. When CEO of PNM (the NM electric company) he pushed wind farms and solar. Now PNM is reaping what they have sown as the previous Richardson administration pushed through cap and tax on carbon emissions a few days before they were booted out of office, and PNM was also hit with an EPA order to install expensive catalytic reduction technology on their coal power plants (PNM Files Appeal Over Power Plant Proposal).

Climate Change due to Global warming, may indeed be real.
What isn’t real is the idea that we can do anything about it.

It’s a natural cycle ,it is not caused by man, and man cannot do a friggin thing about it.

Sea levels will rise 13 feet by the end of the century.
Death Valley will be uninhabitable.
Kentucky will become the lettuce and tomato capital of the US.
Minot ND, will only drop to -50 degrees in the winter.
Washington DC will be much milder, but humidity will be a bitch.

There’s a lot of global warming falling up in the NorthEast. NYC, as an example, is supposed to get at least 6 inches of global warming today, Saturday. Probably more global warming tomorrow.

In other words, the same things that have been happening for MILLIONS of years?

Any time you want to get a little update on how much these frauds know about what is going to happen in the next century, print out one of their 10 day forecasts and watch to see how accurate they are with THAT! One of the biggest jokes around is a 5 or 10 day weather forecast.
