Afghan President Hamid Karzai has said if the United States and Pakistan ever went to war, his country would back Islamabad, drawing a sharp rebuke Sunday from Afghan lawmakers who claimed the country's top officials were adopting hypocritical positions.

of course he did. the pakis will definitely be there in two years, whereas, by bugging out of iraq, we just demonstrated that our commitment to the region is nonexistent.
Things like this make me question why there’s not a hole about .223 right between this pricks eyes.
.
FUBO & FUK
I admit I had high hopes for Afghanistan when Karzi came into office, but that didn’t last long. Far too many of our loved ones have died there and for what. Nothing. That entire area of the planet should have been a parking lot a week after 9/11.
Raise your hand if you ever thought it would be any other way...
Gotta keep the money flowing somehow.
This is what gratitude looks like in the Islamic world. Someday, we’ll figure that out and act appropriately.

This kind of thinking was a foregone conclusion.
No one with any sense of history could have had a reasonable expectation that we could drag a muslim state away from its allegiance to Islam.
That means allegiance to other muslim states and never to the Great Satan.
By the time the last chapter of our wars in Afghanistan and Iran are written, historians will wonder what kind of idiocy led us into ground wars in any muslim country.
Nuke’em from orbit;
it’s the only way to be sure ...
Isn’t it great being in bed with Muslim countries?
I feel a new tagline coming on....
“....we just demonstrated that our commitment to the region is nonexistent.”
.
Why commit to anything when our dedication is not welcomed?
It’s a waste of the lives of our military and also our money.
You had to know which way this was going to go when we ousted the taliban and the heroin trade DIDN’T come to a screeching halt.
“I admit I had high hopes for Afghanistan when Karzi came into office....”
.
I shall always remember him sitting next to Mrs. Bush smiling like a cheshire cat while GW made that infamous statement at the State of the Union Address that “Islam is a religion of peace.”
How sad, how uninformed, how disgusting.
Exactly.....you can’t trust those people. We have those that think they understand them, but they don’t comprehend them. They are tribes, not a democratic bone in their bodies and don’t care about anything except for the moment. They follow that person that can yell the loudest and carries the biggest gun.
I still think that after 9/11 it would have been better had we given Blackwater $100B and told them to snuff anyone and everyone even remotely involved. No ??’s asked. Then feed the carcasses to the hogs on live tv.
It would have saved thousands of US soldiers lives and Trillions of $$s. Sure, the French and the Libs would hate us for a couple years, but so what?
“That entire area of the planet should have been a parking lot a week after 9/11.”
AMEN, AMEN and AMEN!!!
