Brown vs. Warren looks like Brown vs. Coakley

The biggest danger facing Cambridge elitist Elizabeth Warren, the Democrats' celebrity candidate for the U.S. Senate, is that she is turning into Martha Coakley.

Two years ago, Coakley, the attorney general, was the odds-on favorite to run away with the U.S. Senate seat made vacant by the death of Ted Kennedy. She rolled up an impressive victory in the four-way Democratic primary, and it seemed her only problem was picking out her office furniture after she, as expected, squashed Republican Scott Brown, the unknown state senator from Wayland.

Coakley's supporters -- President Barack Obama, Gov. Deval Patrick, U.S. Sen. John Kerry, the entire Congressional delegation, the Massachusetts Democratic Party establishment, the leaders of organized labor, the political insiders, the consultants and key special interests -- all lined up behind her. They made her such a sure bet that she was treated more as an incumbent rather than a challenger.

Sen. Brown will be at the Immaculate Conception Church in Malden on Sunday to support a Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Knights of Columbus Council 13966 for the benefit of Housing Families/Rodman Ride for Kids.

Big difference... The Dems took the seat for granted - they won’t do that again. In fact their liberal advocacy groups have alreay had anti-Brown ads on all over the Boston market.

Kerry is not all that popular in Massachusetts.

He's popular with the unions and the unions run Massachusetts.

Brown may be a RINO, particularly on social issues, but frankly he is the best we will get out of Massachusetts for the foreseeable future.

Warren and the Democrats need to go down in flames...
