Researcher Ron Polland, who produced a duplicate of Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate to bolster his argument, believes that the White House-released document was made by a professional forger who created a red herring, intentionally leaving anomalies that could be interpreted as signs of forgery but readily explained.
"The forger was not an amateur and releasing a PDF that looked like an obvious forgery was not an accident," he said.
Polland, who believes there could have been more than one forger, has concluded that the primary forger had a specific appearance in mind for the document. Rather than hide the fact that the PDF was forged, the forger wanted it to be "discovered" initially by critics to be a forgery, he said.
"The forger wanted to create specific anomalies in the PDF that would be interpreted as evidence of forgery, [while] under certain circumstances these anomalies are actually predictable natural outcomes of the software being used," he explained.
The intent, Polland explained, was to enable critics to point to the anomalies as evidence of forgery, so Obama supporters could refute the objections by explaining that the anomalies could be produced, for instance, by running various optimizing, sharpening and adaptive compression procedures resident in Adobe software.
To produce those anomalies, the alleged forger did not "flatten" the PDF file, a process that melds the layers and makes it appear to be a single-layer document.
Polland's expertise includes computer graphics and the use of computer peripherals, such as printers and scanners to input digital images. He earned a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Florida State University in 1978 and a masters degree in Educational Research & Psychology from Florida State in 1972.

the lack of anti-aliasing in certain areas is all you need to determine it was a forgery. i say this as someone that has written scanner drivers and imaging software working with scanned images.
beyond this, even if you accept the document as real... all it proves is that 0bama is native born.
his father was not a US citizen at the time of his birth, therefore he can only be native born
in order to be natural born, BOTH parents have to be US citizens at the time of birth. the founders put this language in the Constitution specifically to insure future presidents would not have loyalties to any other country due to parental allegiances. if not for this reason, the founders could have just used the word ‘citizen’.

In other words, he's blaming some hypothetical forger because people made themselves look like idiots.
If there was a forger, he was trying to recreate the actual look of a document of the era. If somebody was dumb enough not to know what traces fountain pens or manual typewriters left it wasn't because some forger was diabolically trying to draw them in, it's because they were just that dumb.
It would have been better for Polland not to comment on those earlier mistakes. Say we could understand and excuse those earlier missteps -- bringing them up all over again attributing them to some devlishly clever forger means Polland loses all credibility from now on.
Is this is the guy who says:

In August 2008, I successfully duplicated the short-form in what I believe is the only way it could have been made. Now I have re-created the long-form with a forgery of my own that I believe most people will find hard to distinguish from the forgery the White House released.
If so, he's more of a kook than anybody imagined.
I think that the forger just plain forgot to flatten it to one level.

It seems likely that forgeries of documents were a deliberate strategy to create an easy to understand misdirection so that those interested wouldn't unravel the fact that Minor v. Happersett did what the supreme court is supposed to do, it turned common law into positive law. It established as undoubted legal precedence, eliminating the need to examine the common law, “...the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar.” - born on US soil of citizen parents.
Reading Minor v. Happersett will convince most - read it a few times. But the scrubbing of citations on public legal reference sites owned by Obama friends, and former classmates, to Minor v. Happersett in the fall of 2008 is convincing evidence that Barack’s cadre have used the Chester Arthur ploy. Arthur had an associate (described by the left, dishonestly, as a political opponent, Arthur Hinman) write a book pointing to Chester's possible birth in Canada or Ireland. Chester Arthur, born, as was Barack, to a British subject father, hid his real birth documents (he was born in Vermont) and had them burned just before his death.
For a wonderful example of misdirection read the “Wikipedia” biography of Arthur, which carefully avoids mention of the naturalization of Arthur's father, and suggests that political writer Arthur Hinman was hired by the opposition. The Wiki authors also throw in “native-born citizen of the US,” which both Arthur and Obama satisfy, having been born 14th Amendment citizens, native-born citizesn, who are not natural born citizesn. Even Chester's supreme court appointee, Wong Kim Ark's Horace Gray, cited Minor v. Happersett for the definition of natural born citizen. He had to. It was precedence. And Gray made Wong Kim a citizen, since his case rested upon the 14th Amendment, which never mentions natural born citizens.

The forger IS an amateur! Mixing CMYK and Grayscale in the document. That’s bush league! He’s an amateur, but he’s getting away with it, but not by his own accord.

It is far better to stick with objective **fact**. Obama posted a forgery and that is a fact. Obama could have easily posted a clean document that could be easily and objectively certifiable. He didn't and that's a fact.
