I remember these people from '08. They were the ones who in the last few weekends before the election volunteered to ride drafty buses out to western Pennsylvania and Ohio (from NYC) to canvass for Obama. They are thoroughly committed leftists. They have a religious fervor to them. They do not tolerate any difference of opinion.

I think their lives lack meaning . . . well the only meaning they experience is through political action and their only human connections are through this movement. Most are socially retarded, i.e., unable to hold a conversation or even feign interest.

In the past, Romantics like these marched off to fight in distant lands for causes that were not their own. Now, they squat in our public squares.
