I respectfully disagree when it comes to Ryan. He talks a good game. But, his voting is typical liberal in nature and for Gov’t, ie TARP, Auto bailout, No Child left behind, Bush budgets, Medicare plan D.

I didn't know that about Ryan...wonder if Cain does. We don't know anything about Cain really

I had always assumed Ryan had a conservative voting record. My bad!

Sorry purity police, except for the way Obama used the auto bailout, every one of those things was good.

We ended up making money on TARP. No Child Left Behind held teachers and school responsible for children's achievement for the first time. The Bush budgets funded the war on terror we benefit from today and Medicare pt. D stopped the Democrats from ramming thru their healthcare socialism ahead of time by watering it down and running the whole thing thru the private sector. Its the only program that runs a surplus.

You people who use lies and distortion as debate are lazy, ill-informed and disgusting.

Try reading something besides posts by other idiots.

Good points all. You could also add that he supported Ethanol subsidies. A true conservative would NEVER have supported such a wide range of statist positions.

Ryan is above all a technocrat. He does not have the belief of limited government in his DNA.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad he is on our side, but there is no way to consider him a "deep" conservative.
