they use opiates because they’re addicted. do you smoke? try quitting if you do. I’m not pro-legalization in anyway, I’m just pro-reality. Drug addiction in America is a very serious problem that deserves very serious and honest debate and it rarely gets that.
It’s called harm reduction. If God in the Old Testament incorporated harm reduction in His dealings with Ancient Israel, shouldn’t we consider the same thing?
I’m not pro-drug, but I recognize that if somebody is going to die to get their high, I’d rather have them get their high without that happening.
These gangs are working to create drugs that are addictive enough that even touching them could be enough to get you addicted, so even if you are stridently against drugs and would never do them, you could find yourself with an unbeatable addiction.

Drugs are greatly helping to destroy our country & other
countries. Legalizing them won’t make them or their destructive influence wane.
I am trying to think of an adequate punishment for possessing this drug. $100 fine? Probably not enough. 6 months in jail? Probably not enough. I think as punishment for using this drug, they should have the skin stripped from their forearms. On second thought I bet that would not even be enough.
