The Wall Street Protests are Full of Ignorance, Hypocrisy, Anti-Semitism

RUSH: Part of me wishes it could be Columbus Day all year round. Did you notice the Wall Street protestors are so dedicated to their work they didn't take the day off, and they're being paid. They're being paid a lot. They didn't take the day off! Maybe the Obama campaign unions, the Democrat front groups -- of course I'm repeating myself there -- paid time-and-a-half, it's a holiday, it's Columbus Day, for working on a holiday, but you have to admire their dedication. I mean for most of these kids occupying Wall Street is the closest they've ever come to having any kind of occupation at all and they don't want to blow it.

I'm looking at some of the signs that these kids, these people are carrying around, and here are a couple. Now, these are somewhat typical, they're not the radical signs. And there's a huge mix and conglomeration of people at the Occupy Wall Street protest. But here's one. These people are posting pictures of themselves holding up signs that basically are messages that are their life story or their current complaint or gripe.

"I'm a 26 female with a dual BA. I make $52,000 a year, thank God every day I have a job that pays well. But the sad truth is it could all be over in one fleeting moment. Thirty-five percent of my salary goes to taxes. My take-home pay, $3,200 a month," and then she breaks it down, what her taxes are, what her expenses are, her car and insurance. It ends up she has $245 a month left over to spend on discretionary things. Why is she complaining is not the question. Why is she with that group? She's with a bunch of people who want higher taxes on people like her. This woman doesn't know it, but she ought to be one of us.

Now, obviously a lot of people at these protests, you know what's happened down there, Mayor Boomberg has basically invited everybody to show up and stay for as long as they want, no matter what. And they're rolling cigarettes, they're smoking tobacco, including other things, and Mayor "Doomberg" is not saying anything about it. They're eating trans fat. They are destroying restrooms in nearby fast food joints and other establishments. And Doomberg says as long as you come and obey the law you are more than welcome, just sit tight, do whatever you want. It's absolutely stunning.

This is all springing from the jealousy that the Democrats have about the Tea Party. They are so excited these people are showing up that they don't care what they do, they don't care what they say, they don't care who they are. They're just happy to have the appearance that there are some people who supposedly spontaneously support them, and support Obama and support the Democrats. But some of these messages these kids are holding up, you have to ask yourself -- well, you don't have to ask yourself; you know -- how ill-educated they have been. (interruption) I know, the picture of one of these occupiers going to the bathroom on a cop car.

We've seen that all over the place, and there's no reporting on it, no condemnation of it, and none of that has ever happened with the Tea Party, and yet they've been accused of it. The Tea Party has been accused of spitting on members of Congress. Pelosi ratcheted that up. There's no evidence. Andrew Breitbart offered a hundred thousand-dollar reward for anybody who could show video or evidence that the Tea Party spat upon members of Congress as they were taking that trek to sign the health care bill outside the Capitol building. There are a lot of trust fund kids, a lot of bored kids from wealthy parents are down there flashing wads of cash. It's a mix of people. It's a sort of a Woodstock kind of thing in many ways. But you look at some of the signs these people are carrying and you wonder why they're with that group. They ought to be us.

Here's another one. "I'm a 50-year-old local owner of a local moving company. My business has dropped 75% since 2008. I have sole custody of my 11-year-old daughter. I declared bankruptcy in February 2011. I have skin cancer but no health insurance. I can't afford surgery. I've lost my house to foreclosure. Now I can barely afford rent. I started my business in 1991, I had savings, investment property, retirement fund. All is lost. I am the 99%." All is lost since 2008, all is lost, and this guy's down there protesting Wall Street. He's down there protesting big money. It's cockeyed. Once again it just shows the rank ignorance and stupidity.

RUSH: Folks, you might be... I don't know if you'll be surprised or not. You might be amazed to hear that there are groups paying protestors at the Occupy Wall Street protests. Essentially what you have are groups paying demonstrators to protest capitalism. In order to get these numbers of people showing up to protest capitalism, they're having to pay them -- and one of the groups paying the demonstrators is something called "Working Families Party." Now, the Working Families Party is the same bunch of people that organized the terrorizing of the AIG executives in their front yards during the big bonus controversy of 2009. That was in March of 2009. Now, the Working Families Party is a spinoff of ACORN, and they are advertising on Craigslist and on their own website for protestors, and they are offering up to $350 to $650 a week!

Now, $350 a week is a little over 15, $16,000 a year to come down and protest (if it's paid for that long, but that's the rate) and $650 a week would be close to $27,000 a year. That's what they're offering these people to come down and protest. Now, I don't think there's any health care, retirement, or pension involved here, but who knows? The unions are involved, so who knows what's being included in all of this. This is just the report. This what's being advertised. I'm not even sure, in truth, they're paying minimum wage. But you can probably earn a little extra money by setting fire to a cop car, throwing a rock through a rich person's house. It's $350 a week, $650 a week. "Sure, show up! Come on down! Protest capitalism." They have to be paid to do it.

RUSH: Now, there's something interesting, too, about the protests. We've talked to you before, last week, week before that, I think, about this group, this magazine called Adbusters. You know, Adbusters is also very much involved in the Occupy Wall Street Now movement. And David Brooks, you know, a clock is right twice a day. David Brooks has a column in the New York Times today with an interesting implication. He writes that the impetus for Occupy Wall Street was sparked by Adbusters magazine.

Now, Adbusters magazine, you may not have heard of them, but within certain circles Adbusters magazine is known for quite a lot and one of the things that they did that stands out was an essay in 2004 entitled "Why Won't They Say They Are Jewish?" David Brooks says that that 2004 essay in Adbusters outed influential Jews as a tiny elite with a nefarious grip on American. The old Jewish power brokers, the movies, the bankers, that stereotype, that conspiracy theory. (interruption) Well, not just the neocons. This was an attack on -- neocons included in it -- but this was an attack on all Jews, this was an anti-Semitic bunch. And some people no doubt are gonna think that Brooks is on to something here. These people are running around saying "I'm the 99%." These signs I just shared with you in the first half hour of these people writing, "I am the 99%" is how each of them ends. That's the last line in each of these signs, or messages, that these people are writing. But they are touting themselves as the 99%.

Now, some people think the 99%'s also the 99 weeks of unemployment compensation because that group also calls themselves the 99ers, but the 99% versus the 1% is another angle that the group is talking about here, and Wall Street and bankers, those two terms have been anti-Semitic code for Jews in this country for a long time. Occupier, Occupy Wall Street Now. I've often said, I said last week he who controls the definition of words, the meaning of words, controls the debate. He who controls the language controls the debate. There's a lot of interesting stuff here. Occupy Wall Street Now, 99%, that leaves 1%, roughly the percentage of Jews in the population, too. And Wall Street and bankers have been anti-Semitic code for Jews in this country going back quite a while.

Now, what's happening here is that the Democrats... This is where Brooks may be on to something. It's too early to tell. But the Democrats are embracing this group of people. They are embracing them big time. The Democrats -- Jan Schakowsky in Illinois, members of Congress -- cannot help themselves. They are embracing this group and encourages this group. Celebrities are showing up now. Kanye West shows up with Russell Simmons, and he was wearing his big gold chains, and he hung around for a while. He did a perp walk, signed some autographs and had to get out of there because he was mobbed by these people. But this Adbusters bunch has a history of anti-Semitism, proud anti-Semitism. (interruption) The article about Jewish "neocons" was just one of their pieces, Snerdley, that you mentioned here, along those lines.

And a lot of people, a lot of people like to think that Wall Street's all made up of Jewish people. We're the ones that mentioned this last week. We're the first to tell you that Adbusters was deeply involved in this. I wouldn't be surprised if Brooks got the idea from this program. I'm gonna do a content search and I'm gonna go back and I'm gonna get the exact thing I said about Adbusters last week or the week before, whenever it was 'cause now people are starting to pick up on this. So here's the point: If this group is being organized and paid for by a bunch of anti-Semites and the Democrat Party goes overboard in embracing this group of people, then this could be problem for the Democrat coalition, not to mention the fact that they could unleash a bunch of anti-Jewish racism down there if they're not careful with this, 'cause there's much more going on here than you just see at the surface.

This is not just the unions showing up or Craigslist or other people. This is Adbusters offering to pay these people to show up: $350 to $650 a week. Well, that's Working Families Party doing that, the Working Families Party which is an offshoot of ACORN. So, look, you have a protest manufactured, no doubt orchestrated out of the White House. This is what the left does for a living. So you have all kinds of people now folding themselves into this, trying to take credit for it, be instrumental in its movement and its direction and its purpose. And it is not gonna be hard for this thing to get outta hand. I'm talking about politically for the Democrats. This is gonna end up being a tiger by the tail they're not gonna be able to control if they're not careful.

I'm not predicting it. (interruption) What's the exit strategy? When they get tired. When they get tired, you know, when the free drugs run out, when the free tobacco rubs out, when the free sex runs out, when they get bored they'll move on to something else. Or when the organizers say, "Okay, enough" and the word gets spread. But right now there's -- that's not gonna end any time soon. This is just now getting energized, and the media reporting on this is just now getting up to speed in a way that the organizers hope that it would be. So it's gonna be going on for a while. And Bloomberg said, "Hey, as long as you don't break the law you're welcome to stay here as long as you want." Of course they're breaking the law and nobody's enforcing it. You let a Tea Partier defecate on the hood of a cop car and you see if you can go three minutes without hearing about it.

RUSH: Here's what I said on this program October 5th, so it was basically six days ago: "Now, the idea of Wall Street protests, this bunch -- the idea for doing the Occupy Wall Street protest -- was started by Canadians. It's the brainchild of a Canadian anti-consumerist magazine called Adbusters which registered the domain name OccupyWallStreet.org back in June. Now, among other things this bunch, Adbusters, the "anti-consumerist" magazine, has a long histoire of anti-Semitism. So in their corrupt and perverted minds Jewish money traders, Jewish bankers on Wall Street, why, it's a natural target. So you have a group in Canada, largely steeped in anti-Semitism, providing the idea for this." Who was it that arranged for protestors to go to the homes and the front lawns of AIG executives to protest their bonuses?

Who is it that has websites that organize all of this? Now we know it's the same exact people, the so-called Working Families Party, are one of the groups paying these protestors -- the same people that organized the terrorizing of those AIG execs in their homes. So that's what's going on here. There is nothing spontaneous about this at all. It's purely political, and it's being run by a bunch of anti-Semites, and you have Democrats -- totally oblivious to that -- running around embracing this. It's a fuse that's been lit, and who knows if it's gonna go all the way down to the bomb and blow up. We'll do what we can here to see that the fuse doesn't get extinguished. There has been some violence. There's violence everywhere. There has been debauchery every. There's destruction of private property, 700 arrests, of course.

Yeah, I was wearing my Nostradamus hat yesterday, predicted all this. Adbusters? I would be surprised if Brooks got this idea from me. Where else is Brooks gonna learn that? Where else is anybody gonna learn that? Anyway, that's of minor concern. You haveKanye West, a guy who earns over $30 million a year -- which is peanuts, he still, he earns $30 million a year, and still he's out there protesting Wall Street "greed." (interruption) No, I said "peanuts," Snerdley, just to irritate people. I mean, the protestors have been attacking the police, but we never hear about any of that. There's nothing peaceful about this -- and I would say of these 99% people, the percentage of 'em that actually know anything, know what's going on, who are competent or cognizant, would stun you how low. This is a bunch of hangers on. You put an ad out there $350 to $650 a week to come down there and maybe get sex and drugs? I mean there's all kinds of groping of women going on; they're being paid for it. Come down and get some free smack and get paid for it! Come down and get some free dope and be paid for it.

Here’s what a polic officer said:

In my way there I saw the people in great commotion, and heard them use the most cruel and horrid threats against the troops. In a few minutes after I reached the guard, about 100 people passed it, and went towards the bank.

They immediately surrounded the bank guard posted there, and with clubs and other weapons threatened to execute their vengeance on him. I was soon informed that their intention was to carry off the guard from his post and probably murder him: on which I desired him to return for further intelligence, and he soon came back and assured me he heard the mob declare they would murder him. This I feared might be a prelude to their plundering the bank.

...The mob still increased and were more outrageous, striking their clubs or bludgeons one against another, and calling out, ‘Come on you rascals, you bloody backs, you lobster scoundrels, fire if you dare, G-d damn you, fire and be damned, we know you dare not,’ and much more such language was used. At this time I was between my men and the mob, parleying with, and endeavoring all in my power to persuade them to retire peaceably, but to no purpose.

They advanced to the points of the bayonets, struck some of them and even the muzzles of the pieces, and seemed to be endeavoring to close with the policemen. On which some well behaved persons asked me if the guns were charged. I replied yes. They then asked me if I intended to order the men to fire. I answered no, by no means, observing to them that I was advanced before the muzzles of the men’s pieces, and must fall a sacrifice if they fired...

...I was struck with a club on my arm, which for some time deprived me of the use of it, which blow had it been placed on my head most probably would have destroyed me. On this a general attack was made on the men by a great number of heavy clubs and rocks being thrown at them, by which all our lives were in imminent danger, some persons at the same time from behind calling out, ‘damn your bloods-why don’t you fire.’ Instantly three or four of the officers fired, one after another, and directly after three more in the same confusion and hurry. The mob then ran away, except three unhappy men who instantly expired, ; . . one more is since dead, three others are dangerously, and four slightly wounded. The whole of this melancholy affair was transacted in almost 20 minutes.

On my asking the officers why they fired without orders, they said they heard the word fire and supposed it came from me. This might be the case as many of the mob called out fire, fire, but I assured the men that I gave no such order; that my words were, don’t fire, stop your firing. In short, it was scarcely possible for the soldiers to know who said fire, or don’t fire, or stop your firing.

The left is going nuts now saying that there would have been a peaceful demonstration but for a conservative that infiltrated their protest. LOL!

Conservative writer claims infiltration of D.C. protest

WASHINGTON - An editor for the conservative magazine The American Spectator claims to have infiltrated a group of anti-war protesters who swarmed the National Air and Space Museum only to be repelled by security guards using pepper spray.

The Washington museum was closed after the protest Saturday afternoon. Smithsonian officials said a group of 100 to 200 people tried to enter the museum but were barred by guards who said they could not bring in signs. Several were sickened by the spray.

Patrick Howley, an assistant editor at The American Spectator, wrote in a blog post that he was one of a “select few” protesters willing to storm the entrance and actually made it inside.

Howley could not be reached Monday, and his editors didn’t return messages seeking comment.

I read the original article by Howley. People have accused him of admitting he incited the riot, but he said no such thing.

What he said is that he was with the group that set out to storm the NASM (National Air and Space Museum) to protest a drone exhibit inside. [A side note: I've seen it. It's on the far end of the museum, a long way from the entrance on the Mall side].

When they got to the entrance, the group quickly split: only a small set of people actually tried to enter. The writer was among them, and got sandwiched between one of the protesters and a guard with pepper spray. The writer was able to disentangle himself and enter the museum.

Howley wrote that he did so to take up a position where he could observe. But, when he turned around -- face still stinging -- he discovered that no one had followed him inside.

The museum closed and evacuated all visitors. The author left with the rest of them.

Wss he irresponsible? Yes. Once he knew what was going to happen, he should have either split off from the group and entered before them, or notified a colleague to be in position and hung back at the entrance. If you have ever been in the NASM, you know the second floor balcony overlooking the entrance from the Mall would have been a perfect observation point.

Did he incite the confrontation? I seriously doubt it.

What we think of the wall street rallies doesn’t matter; what matters is what the public thinks of them and if they believe Obama and his cronies about them and what the MSM says about them. That is what matters. If we can’t convince the public (especially those who vote) then we’re lost. We can’t sit here and all us Freepers agree...duh, that is a given. It’s the folks out there. Those “out there” are the same folks like my wife’s parents who think Cain is a Tom and they’ll not vote for him “even for dog catcher”...yep, that’s the programmed Obama worshippers we’re among. No, these folks are not statistical outliers, their brainwashed voters. Where is Palin? Where are more YouTube vids and more info to educate/re-educate the masses?
