Perry has gone to Israel to study their use of drones and fencing and their geographical situation and their national security issues. Janet Napolitano has talked of using drones on the U.S. border with Canada so it is an option they have but refuse to use on our southern border. Tell our enemies in the Middle East how useless drones are. They will tell you you are uninformed.

Israel. Has. A. Fence.

Apparently Perry missed that part of the lesson. Technology is no substitute for a fence, it can only multiply the effectiveness of such.

And Nappy? Nappy doesn't care about effective border enforcemnt. That is a pretty poor effort at defending Perry's position, it makes him seem to not care about effective border enforcement, either.

Debating you is like arguing with a barnyard animal. YOUR OWN POSTS shoot down your position yet you refuse to even acknowledge such. My work here is done, you may have the last lame word.

Texas has fencing too in urban areas but we also have 1250 miles of border and much of it is through extremely rugged terrain and along a river. So the use of drones, boots on the ground and urban fencing is practical and effective and what Perry has been asking the administration to work with Texas on for years — to no avail. So we live with crime and unchecked illegal immigration and have to deal with it — because of laws the Feds have enacted to tie our hands and make US pay for the fall out (monetary and humanity).

Perry will not allow this to go undone once he’s in the White House. HE will seal the border. HE will enforce the laws on the books.

Israel built a fence to stop suicide bombers. Before the Palestinians adopted that tactic en masse, there was no fence.

Israel, when faced with massive amounts of Palestinians wanting to enter Israel non-violently, let them (ie: from 1967 till the first intifada). They put up screening checkpoints and kept them from staying by denying them the ability to buy/rent housing as long as their nationality was listed as Palestinian.

That could work here. Which would render the fetish known as a fence a moot point.
