“I do believe that some people are born gay.”
Herman asked for the scientific proof. If you can come up with some, you’re better than the biddies on “The View.”
He did get applause? Wow.I thought he would been booed.

there is no homosexual gene, the only people I have met who think they’re born homosexual and are not are the people who say I have some homo friends and they’re nice along with other usual crap.
No one is born homosexual, think about it if nature intended for homosexuals to reproduce to keep the human species alive and going then they would be able to.
They cannot reproduce, nature did not intend a mans ass/prostate to be banged by a penis.
He got robust applause 2 or 3 times. The hens did not approve.
Imagine with me if you will that there was a “gay gene.” You could detect in utero if your child would be so afflicted. Like Downs or Trisomy 18.
All of a sudden the left would become virulently anti-abortion.
I used to think that the Christian Right would add this in as another exception that most accept but then my own son (due in January) tested positive for Downs....which has been proven false by second opinion (thank you Catholic Hospitals) and there is NO WAY that myself or my wife would ever abort due to Downs as we are both Christian and very anti-abortion.
No, I believe that the left would become pro-life and the right would maintain it’s current position and trust God.
Re: why did Cain go on the View?
The other reason is conventional “news” outlets (cable news, broadcast evening news, newspapers, etc...) are barely giving him the time of day. Sound-bytes won’t get Cain elected, but that’s the only exposure he gets via normal news outlets.
When people hear Cain for an extended periond of time, they warm up to him. Go find the youtubes of the View appearance. Were they hostile to him? Oh yea, but he still got his message across. I’ve no doubt more than a few of the View viewers came away thinking “who is this Herman Cain, why don’t I hear more about him, I need to find out more about him.”
Cain is taking an unconentional course here, but if he stays the conventional route the powers that be (the news establishment & GOP establishment) will box him into a corner where he’ll barely be seen.
He fundamentally gave the right answer: I'll serve all the people according to the constitution.
I think it was wise of him to say he's open to looking at the science.
the majority of American do not agree that homosexuals are born that way and science has not shown they are born that way plus most people do not go along with the queer agenda.
What is sad that some so called republicans the wishy wshy half baked kind have no problem with the homo agenda because they say they know a couple and they’re nice.
this is not directed at you BTW.
Conservative means just that not liberal on social issues or defending homosexuality of their agenda
The real horror is not the FACT that embracing homosexual behavior is indeed a choice.
The HORROR is that our public school teachers are instructing the next generation that giving in to that urge is not only ACCEPTABLE, but the RIGHT choice to make.
Here's a question for lefties. Given the above statement about detection, if your unborn child tested "positive" for being gay, would you abort it?
In other words, would you as a leftist be against abortion involving “gayness”?
It’s a deliscious little piece of debate fodder. I do not believe that they will ever announce a gay gene, wether they find it or not, specifically for this reason.
To sin is a basic characteristic of all men, so I could hazard a guess that homosexuality is something a person could be born with. The thing about homosexuals, is, their propensity towards sinfulness is a spiritual disability, not a genetic predisposition.
He’s a good man, eh? :)
True, and I’m glad he was unswerving with his conservative answers, even in the midst of incredulous looks by these libidiots. But appearing with jackasses can make you look like one yourself.
ping for video later...
And of course, finally, if a cure were found, would you have your children, or pregnant wife, innoculated?
