Teal may be the dumbest but they compensate that by being fastest.

You ain’t kidding about that. They are like strafing fighter jets: low and fast. Your only hope is to see the approach so you can get a bead on them before they break.

I would book a room for near NYtexans in Ft Worth if you want to go to the after party.
I think most everyone is using Ft worth as the base of operations.
Freepmail him for the addy.
You could stay near the Cotton Gin or range if you wish, but there are probably better hotel options in Fort worth.
Everything is all nailed down.
cpdiii has the BBQ covered for brisket, chicken and bambi burgers.
The rest of us are showing up early, Thurs/Fri at NYTexas and will do some side dish fixen and goofing off.

I don’t get it, geese are so over populated and hardly migrate anymore. This time of year you’re shooting local geese that live year round on golf course ponds. Horicon IS a stop over for migrating geese but that doesn’t start till all the water freezes up nort, like December. The limit should be 5 like it was in KY this time of year.

OK. Here's the deal. Bag limit is two. But, we are issued 8 tags. So, I can blast 8 during the season. (Tags? Turkey tags I can understand, but geese? Oh, wait, it's government.)

You may also wish to FReepmail theMom
She is real good at herding cats and will be coming up from Houston.
Maybe you can hook up with that clan as they pass through.
Basically most folks are staying in Ft worth near NYtexas or Laurenmarlowes.
We will caravan to Crandall Tx for breakfast at the Cotton Gin on the morning of the shoot. About a 45 mi drive down I20
Then we will caravan 10 to Seagoville for the shoot/bbq.
Then back to FW for the after party at NYtexans place

A tag system, like deer? 8? That’s crazy, still doesn’t explain why Horicon is so special. The Chesapeake Bay is a huge eastern flyway stopover for migrating geese and we don’t have restrictions anywhere close to that. Grandfathered Blinds passed down from generation to generation the average citizen will never get a chance to get a permit, yes! Gotta love Merryland, everyone is equal but some are more equal than others.
