If you think we should treat these children like the criminals they aren’t,

Aren’t they?? Up until we moved out of state, I spent years listening to the local news and police scanners in So Cal. Well over 90% of the criminals on the crime report and the calls on the scanner were about 14-23 yr old illegal Mexicans.
One night we were actually surprised to see a white American teenage criminal. It is that rare.
If they don’t respect our immigration laws, they won’t respect any of our other laws either.
No, they are NOT criminals.
They are children of people who broke laws (which are not being enforced) and who have not committed any crimes on their own. Most of these Children have never been to the country of their parent's origin and I guess we should just drive them to the border and dump them on the other side, huh?
Sorry, but this problem was created by the Federal Government refusing to enforce the laws, and these kids are victims of circumstance. But then I guess we should just take them to the border in trains and if they don't leave, just shoot them.
It really is wrong to lump all in with a part of a group. Illegal immigrants can be easily identified in one of thee sub groups. There are those that cross the border to conduct criminal activities. There are those that cross the border to game the system and get a free ride. There are those that come over for work and to send money home to their families. The children brought over are no different, Some of these children become criminals. Some of these children look to game the system and get a free ride. Some of these children work hard in school, stay out of trouble and seek to better themselves.
If we recognize there is no will to deport these children to countries they have no connection to other than by genetics what do you do about them. I have no problem with locking up criminals. I have no problem denying benefits. I have no problem allowing those that are doing the right things to move forward.
