whI would love for Rick Perry to answer why my brothers son, a U. S. Taxpaying Citizen, is not afforded the same opportunities of the children of ILLEGAL aliens who are currently in the State of Texas. Why should I have to support that crap?i>Is he a Texas resident?

My Son doesn’t qualify because he hasn’t been a resident for the past 3 years.
The Dream act has the same qualification and then some.
All the boy has to do is come on down here and here gets the same deal.
And the cost is on Texas.
Not the nation.

The poster's (who asked the question) son was not a Texas resident, but had a good point. Why should a tax paying U.S. citizen, who wanted to attend TU, not get in state tuition rate while someone who's not even a U.S. citizen does?
I don't buy the "but their parent's brought them here, they didn't have a choice (in being here)" line.
Their parent's broke the law and get a great "rewards" program in return.
