JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A white Mississippi teenager has been indicted for capital murder and a hate crime on charges he intentionally ran over a middle-age black man with a pickup truck.
Deryl Dedmon, 19, was indicted Monday in the June 26 death of James Craig Anderson, a 49-year-old car plant worker from Jackson.

Probably so. Has anyone ever heard of a minority being charged with a hate crime against a white? I haven’t, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened. I believe any crime against a person is a “hate crime”.
Horrible story. I am still amazed at the evil a person can possess in their heart. Very sad.

Hmmmmm, so let's review....gangs of black "flash mobs" in various cities & locations, attacking & beating individual whites -- Instantly declared to NOT be hate crimes according to the police departments in these cities.
BUT a lone white teenager running over a black man --- instantly deemed to be intentional and therefore a HATE CRIME by lone whitey against lone black man.

Just out of curiosity, if I witness someone smacking my dog, and I “assault” them and put them in the hospital, is this a “hate crime”?

South Carolina has a law that’s better. Remember back in May when a gang of Holder’s “people” attacked the white kid in Columbia?
Each thug was charged under the state’s anti-lynching law, and each one faces up to 20 years in prison. If the kid had died, the thugs would be facing the death penalty.

In South Carolina, back in the early 1990’s, a white woman was abducted and repeatedly gang raped by a group of black men. One of the black men took her aside and forced her to bathe her private parts with bleach so as to destroy the biological evidence they left behind. During this, she was begging for her life and she was shot in the head, I believe.
Never any talk of a hate crime.

Yeah I got no use for scumbags of any race. I didn’t even like my girlfriend living next door to some punk that hung swastikas in his window.
I would never vote to convict someone of a hate crime; the penalty for underlying crimes would be more than sufficient.
In this case, the death penalty would be my vote.

Are you talking about charges against you or the A-hole who was smacking your dog. I see no reason that your dog shouldn’t fall into a protected class.
