Do you have any advice on buying a pair?
Do you want them nice and roomy so you can double up on socks?
Tread? Lace or hook and eye?

Whoo hooo in the okra. Clip them off when they are no longer than your index finger.
If they get too big they are only good for tent pegs.
Blooms open up very early, the plants love the sun but the blooms just like to be kissed by it early.
One was open on one of my plants today but it was because we haven’t seen sun in 3 days.

Sherman Minton on I 64 between KY and IN has been closed for a week.
Guess it wasn’t shovel ready enough for the Obama Bucks.
Instead the bucks went to making a bicycle lane and a decorative flowered strip down the middle of the Parkway by U of L.
Of course since all that heavy construction work, there have been two major water main breaks on that stretch of road.

LOL! Read that to Mr. Master Gardener and he laughed and agreed.
We don’t have very many plants, so it will probably be a very small crop. :)

Good to start out with just a few.
Okra is an acquired taste. Of course in southern Lousiana they have it for every meal.
Best way to try it the first time is breaded and deep fried.
I had some in stir fry veggies tonight with the last of my zukes and patty pan squash.
Low and slow makes it slimey and you have to be from the Bayou to like it that way.
Time for me to hand over the computer.
Night Luvvy,
Night All.

Nite, Taz! We love okra around here. The growing of it is another of the experiments of the mad scientist of the back yard! :)
See ya next time ‘round! (((hugs)))

You are a Rubik's Cube |
You are engaging and popular. People are drawn to your colorful personality. As much as they try, people can't stay away from you. And while you seem easy to understand, people can't figure out what direction you're coming from. |
