Yes, I noticed after I posted that it didn’t quite make sense. But you get my drift.
Do you put a notch on your computer desk for every “gotcha”? Do you include your own in the tally, or just other peoples’?

I intend to sit out the presidential race

I understand your sentiment, but please reconsider and place a vote for America. I have read your posts here for a very long time and you are very thoughtful. I hope you will at least be open to the realization that we, as a nation, must go to the polls and place our votes for ABO -- Anyone But Obama.

Sarah will never give up and neither should we.

Two things:

1. SO MANY have insisted they’ve heard from inside sources that she declares today; if she doesn’t, this will not only cause a massive loss of trust in those fans, but also - once again - give Sarah another layer “just playing around” charges.

2. Previous campaigns were shorter - they’ve been steadily growing longer ever since the mid 80s. Going back to the 70s and earlier doesn’t really work - the media cycle, the means of information dissemination, the way campaigns are run have significantly changed. If Sarah’s planning to run a 1980-style election, she’s going to get trounced - big time.

[If I am correct in my assessment, then she is really a foul individual. ]

And if you are incorrect, then that makes you quite a foul individual now doesn’t it.

The way things are going you probably will not have to worry about that.

To give time for Perry and Mitt to beat each other up.

Not only am I old enough to remember Reagan (voted for him twice), I am old enough to remember Nixon. I remember also that back then there was no 24/7 news cycle, there was no internet, there was no Free Republic, and perhaps more important, the primaries were not so early as they are now. The IA caucus was nothing. Nothing. It all began in NH. It was a different era altogether. Same is true of all the others you referenced. CNN was still a babe in the 24 hour news when the latest of them, Clinton, announced.

I’d say Palin isn’t too late to get in the game, but she is cutting it awfully close, and in the meanwhile has alienated a lot of folks who’d have crawled across broken glass to get her elected. This whole thing would have been hers just a few months ago if she wanted it. I am not so sure she wants it. And I sure can’t imagine WHY she would want it. Remember, you don’t have to hold an office to be effective!

Anyways, awhile back, I decided that what she really wanted was a big fat media job....and One Mil for starters isn't bad.

Hate and envy are self-destructive emotions, usually associated with socialists who think everybody making more money them them are "the rich."

BTW, Ronald Reagan also made a sizable bundle for himself as a political commentator during the run-up to his November 1979 announcement - and good for him!

That’s an awful lot of words to say something that could be said in a few. Whether or not Palin is running, unless you are her authorized Rep, it’s all speculation.

She knew this #($&% book was coming out...maybe she decided to let the dust settle first. Seems to me he didn’t get much - gossip mostly from people who don’t want their names used. The definition of journalist ain’t what it used to be.

Honestly I can’t understand how anyone can be expected to take this public beating - the stress on the family has got to be horrible. I’ve been through a a similar situation but on a more local level and some days you just don’t want to wake up - other days you want to fight the bastards so they don’t get away with it. If she chose not to run and have a nice rest of her life I’d understand completely.

But I hope she runs - if so she’ll have my vote.

“Let’s focus on the candidates who will best advance the conservative cause and support them while they are still in the race. “

How about focusing on the candidates who can actually beat Obama?

Palin couldn’t and she knows that. She is smart enough to know that she has no chance of either getting the GOP nomination and especially has no chance of beating Obama. That is why she WILL NOT run.

Too bad that her supporters don’t see that.

Yeah, just like all the other days you Palinistas said she was going to declare. It doesn’t matter what she does now, she has play you like a cheap fiddle and made her money. I cannot believe you people can’t see this.

I wouldn't vote for Palin now if you paid me. This isn'r a cat and mouse game.

You haven't been in Palin's camp for some time.

So quit pretending.

You've been a Perry Apologist for quite some time.

"Baghdad Bob was just spotted in Wasilla."

Sarah Palin will announce she is running for president.
Sarah Palin will win the GOP nomination.

Sarah Palin will beat Obama in 2012 and will become president.

The ship has sailed.

Disagree. The ship doesn't sail until delegates start getting assigned in the primaries. Obviously there is the matter of filing deadlines so Palin is going to have to make a decision soon if she want to qualify for the Iowa caucus and NH/SC primaries.

There is talk of Hillary challenging Obama on the Democratic side. How come nobody is telling her its too late?

‘scuse me, i did not say that.

So sorry, Ken. I clicked the wrong reply button. This post was meant for Sacajawea.

Here it is again for you, Sacajawea.

I wouldn't vote for Palin now if you paid me.

I said that about John McCain during the primaries last time. But of course I voted for him rather than Obama.

I am hoping we can count on you to vote for the Republican in the general election, regardless of who he/she is.

Anyone considering themselves to be even somewhat conservative has to agree that the best course for America is ABO -- Anyone But Obama.

All I know is I am not enthralled by these candidates talking about drugs and Social Security.

It makes me want to indulge in some and wait for the other.

Sarah might actually take on the enemy from day one. She seems to know who that is as well.
