Gary Sinise, best known for playing Lt. Dan, who lost his legs fighting in Vietnam in Forrest Gump, this week returned to South Carolinas Lowcountry, where much of the 1994 film was shot.
The patriotic actor was there for the second annual Lt. Dan Weekend, a gathering of military personnel and veterans who were severely wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq.

October 5th we will be dedicating the new Fisher House on the campus of the Charlie Norwood VAMC Uptown Division, Augusta, GA. It is a beautiful 20 bedroom house.We could probably fill all 20 bedrooms with the families of those young vets on the spinal cord unit at CNVAMC.

As he supports *us* (military, veterans, and their families), and has done so consistently for quite some time, I reciprocate, and support *him* and his film/television projects. This is the best way one can show one's approval, and maybe the idea will catch on...
